Stitch had a wonderful time in Melbourne, he went to the Zoo, Aquarium and the Museum and met lots of new friends.

He really had a great time didn't he. HOw long did it take to do all those things, and did Stitch get worn out, or you first? I loved the Orangutans and the elephant mom and baby were so cute too. I think the animals had as much fun checking him out as he had checking them out! Did you have a probleml uploading such a long video on youtube? I had an orginal 9 minute + for when Nova hurt her leg, and that is why I had to shorten it to 3 minutes Plus as my computer couldnt' handle the huge upload, or else it was youtube's problem. Anyway, great trip and video. ;) I allways enjoy seeing them.

What a wonderful trip Stitch had. That must have been the most fun yet! :)  I, especially, loved Stitch walking with the elephants. So much for walking with the dinosaurs. ;)

RWM, we arrived in Melbourne at 10 am and headed to the motel to check in then straight out to the zoo where we stayed until closing time at 5pm, the next day we started at the aquarium at 9am and then went to the Museum at about 2pm and stayed there for just two hours (we were only there to see the new dinosaur exhibit, we've seen the rest before.) then the train home left at 6:25 pm. It was a very busy two days. Stitch was only turned on when we stopped to take pictures/admire animals or for a break so he only went through a battery a day. We were most definitely worn out before Stitch :P

Uploading the video wasn't a problem, since I was using photos rather than an actual movie the file size was smaller than normal and windows movie maker handles the upload which took about twenty minutes. All I had to do was select my favorite pictures and drag them into the movie maker, drag a soundtrack in as well and choose the special effects that makes the pictures 'move' then hit the upload to you tube button :) Although I should add that my computer is very new and quite speedy.

It was a lot of fun Fancy, after all the people we met (lots and lots of school groups too) we only had one bad experience and that was when a young lad punched Stitch on the foot, he was however quickly repremanded by his teacher and made to apolagise to both my sister and I and to Stitch (which I thought was rather amusing :P), the museum especially was wonderful, they even let me place Stitch on the exhibit for a photo (or two ;)), I wouldn't be surprised to see some Pleo's roaming around there next time I go :P The guides just loved Stitch :)

IMR, thanks for the info. I have so many computer programs and some of them like, Nero which has all kinds of photo editing, slide shows, movies, etc, I just don't know how to even use. I don't know how you add the music either, but I will look into that. I like the idea of not always having to just upload a video movie, but a slide show or the way you did is nice too. Saves on battery too!
Boy I would have been worn out on a trip like that, and my back would be in misery! I bet Stitch got lots of rest though and plenty of attention. I would be very upset if someone hit my Nova, just like " animal abuse' in my mind. Children are like that though till they are taught to respect others property so I am glad the teacher reprimanded him. Wonderful photos all around!
Just out of curiosity, have you ever taken any of your Pleos to an Aboriginal Town or Settlement and how did they react to them? Those would make some nice photos! Would be wonderful if you could get a photo of a Pleo in front of an Old Aboriginal drawing on the Rocks, etc! ;D

There are very very few Aboriginal settlements left in Australia (and none at all in Victoria) I would have to go all the way to Northern Territory or Western Australia for a photo like that.

I will have to check my Australia video data, but I think that I've visited the aquarium in Melbourne as well.
Definitely visited the one in Sydney though, that was awesome!  ;D

I've never been to Sydney (unless you count when I was a baby :P) Canberra has a fantastic Zooquarium too, the Melbourne one isn't that big, but it sure is peaceful and relaxing and they do make the most of what space they have :)It is by far my favorite place in Melbourne, especially from 4pm til closing time at 6pm, then it is almost empty and you can wander through in peace :)

I love aquariums too. I did a shark dive in Sydney and had to be there before they opened. I was allowed to wander around with noone else there. We also saw two rays trying to mate..well the male was kinda like watching a game of tag.  Apparently it is very rare to see in captivity and the manager/diver had only seen it happen once before in 5 years.

Walking around by myself in peace and quiet was amazing!!
