Restless Planet: Dubai’s Dinosaur-themed Park
Restless Planet, the City of Arabia development due to open at the end of 2010, located at the gateway of Dubailand, is planned to include the world largest collection of animatronic dinosaurs.

Dr Jack Horner is also a member of the design team, and was the real life inspiration for the book ‘Jurassic Park’, who also served as scientific consultant to Spielberg on the three movies.

Over 100 animatronic creatures, some 50 feet (15 metres) tall combined with photo real, computer generated imaging, dioramas and a litany of special effects. The exterior of the Restless Planet will be a 74 metre tall dome and massive ‘cloud’ building.

:)They need to buy as many pleo as possible (so that pleo is also part of the dinosaur in the park) and visitors would be so amused and thrilled to watch pleo moving in herds and interacting with one another. Pleo should also be sold in the soveniour shop and this would make pleo so popular. ;D ;D

That sounds fantastic, and I would love to see it up close in person. How did you find out about this, I never heard of it before? I wonder if they would get a discount on Pleos if they bought by the Gross?I must confess though, unless they dropped the price of Pleos in souvenir shops, I don't see that many being sold to the " average" consumer. )I must also confess as wonderful as Pleos are, I kind of enjoy being one of the only ones( that I know of) that either have or know what a Pleo even is.( where I live of course, smaller than a lot of towns and I have only ran into one person who knew all about Pleos, and she worked at a Petstore.) It is so much fun to see the reactions of people taking a second look while driving down the street when they see me carrying Nova.  ;D Then again, if she were as large as the ones in Jurassic Park , I would have to be on her back!
Thanks for the post though, and Jack Horner is Great! I have read lots of his books and seen lots of videos with him talking about his digs, etc                                              RedwoodsMama   and Nova

Wow! I don't know about pleos for sale there, but my four dinos would sure like to visit there. As for me, as soon as it said vertigo, I think I would have to pass up this ride. ;D
Seriously, how cool! I would be willing to take dramamine! ;)

So cool!  Not robot-jerky at all, very smooth and relatively quick-moving!

Is this a model for what will be on display at the park?
