Li Poly batteries and Egg Charger?
« on: December 21, 2009, 12:21:09 PM »

I just ordered the Li Poly batteries and egg charger on EBay after reading up on it. It seems better than the batteries that came with Pleo. I just wanted to know anyone's opinion about the batteries. Is the Li Poly batteries and egg charger better than the original batteries?  :-\

I'm not sure because I don't have them, but I think so since they last longer and are charged in an egg. Now how can that not be better. ;D By the way I think your going to reach 1000 posts pretty soon.lol :D

It looks better! I just wanted to know if there were any cons with the battery. Either way, it works out well. At least I'll have a backup battery for Trojan  :P

Yes, I've noticed that I've posted a lot. The semester is over for school... So I've been a Pleo-holic for only a couple of days now. Don't worry, I'll be leaving on vacation starting tomorrow, so I'll have time to recover  :P

No, no!  Post away!  We look forward to new members who are active.  One of our members is the official US sales outlet for those batteries.  He says they've been selling like hotcakes!   All reports so far have been positive.

Now, you have to be sure you charge the green batteries in the green charger and the white batteries in the white charger, or you'll have some real problems!!

I have had two charges with the egg charger and battery. J.C feels like he's the energizer bunny! ;D

I agree -- I just got mine 4 days ago and I see the difference between CLeo with the green battery and the white battery.  She moves almost twice as fast, definitely more alert -- like she just took 3 cups of cappucino!!!

GO FOR THE UCUBE CHARGER!!

It brought my baby back from the grave. Just when you think you're little girl is now a $400 paper weight, you find the egg battery/charger. It works phenomenally! Pleo lasts at the very least twice as long! (I think about three times as long). Plus the charger is done in a fraction of the time....

Gucci, I'm so glad Sophie is up and running again. Looks like the batteries have been most of the culprit with non  functioning pleos. Definitely recommend the egg charger. Seems to work great! :)

I got the egg charger as well, now if only I could figure out the best way to repaint it so it's the same colour as the other batteries :D

I LOVE this new battery and charger guys. Thanks for the advice. I still use the green batteries for backup, but nothing compares to the Ucube!  ;D

They last A LOT longer than the usual batteries.

I don't really keep track of the actual time that my Pleo runs, but I can tell you that I put the battery in once in the beginning of a football game, and it practically lasted the whole game (I shut him off before the game was finished and it was near the end.) And then the next day he lasted a good while too. The description says that the Pleo is supposed to last for two hours, but in my experience, I think it was a little more. Those things are awesome!

I actually did time Sophie's charge one time here real recently and forgive me for losing it, but her battery lasted over two hours. It was something like 2 hours 17 minutes, or something like that.
