I've updated Little Jim to 1.1 by SD card after the intravenous life saving technique. Have you ever managed to update using the SD card before, only there are a few simple rules to follow?

after the update to version 11 by sdcard, I can hear the differents music, and the final music, but after this, Pleo is blocked

Why i have install the version 2.2?
before that all was ok, with my new battery buy in taiwan

If you are able to downgrade to a much earlier version but it does't upgrade successfully, is it possible your copy of the upgrade file is corrupted somehow? Have you tried getting a fresh copy off the web and then rerunning the process? I have occasionally had issues with some file downloads from the web being corrupted. Sometimes it is easy to tell if a file is incomplete or bad, other times not so easy. Some zip programs have the ability to test the file and tell you if it sees any errors in the compressed file. Not sure if that is helpful or not. It is something I would try just in the off chance there was an error downloading from the web originally.

try to install the 1.0.2 usb mode

it worked for me

Hi, i have ordered a second hand pleo from ebay, it comes with a battery, but apparently it doesn't work for very long at all, about 20 mins. now, as a fully charged battery is so important, if i fully charge this battery will it be ok, or will i need to first buy a new battery to attempt a reset/downgrade? as i was planning on saving a bit of money by constructing my own battery packs.

DO NOT ATTEMPT A RESET ON A BAD BATTERY!!!

Sorry can't stress that enough, it is far too risky. Make your battery pack first and try it out or buy a new battery. I know you don't want to but a bricked Pleo would be a lot worse than paying for a new battery. If Pleo 'dies' in the middle of a reset (they can take ten minutes) they can be a nightmare to fix

Hello! All I know is I think I am not too pleased with OS2. I want an original Pleo. I hate how pleo barks and acts a lot more doglike. I miss the mooing of my pleo. I miss how she used to snuggle when we slept. I miss how she actually responded to me instead of ignoring me. What is the best downgrade for us? Should we go to 1.1? 1.0? 1.0.1? 1.2? 2.0? 2.0.1?

Not sure if i got all the OS's right..

I used the 1.1.1 to revert Teagan back from PM2 which seemed to work okay for me.

That restored him to the state I was used to before. I had both Teagan and Tessa running 1.1 and was very happy with their interaction and responsiveness compared to the new PM2 so far.

So which is the best one? How many different OS's are there? I think Sophie was on 1.1 but now I have no idea. What should I revert her to?

2.0.1 actually, it just changed the voice that told you when the update was done, no bug fixes or anything.

Yeah I hate Sophie ignoring me too. But do you prefer Stitch on 1.1 or Lilo on 2.0?

Lilo has never been on 2.0, only Stitch. I prefer the 1.1 for now, I like that the 2.0 makes them move more randomly, albeit backwards

and I like the 'dreaming' when they are sleeping but that's about it. Until they fix the issue of Pleo ignoring sensory input and pleo's not interacting with one another I will leave both on the 1.1.

As degers has said, "every update since 1.0, through 1.2 to 1.1 has wiped the data on the Pleo, for a number of reasons, such as it is difficult/not worth it moving the personality files over sinc ethey really don't do much, or the files may not be compatible with the new OS." So no, the personality will be erased. And from the comments on this thread: http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1260.0 LifeOS 2 has alot of bugs and lots of people don't like how Pleo's act more "independant" and don't respond to touch as much.

What Degers says makes absolute sense, but if the acquired or 'learned' personality is so easily wiped, then why go to the trouble of the 'reincarnation' as well? It doesn't seem to add up ................

I was sort of waiting to feel that I understood the way Pleo works better before asking this, but as you've asked that, FBS (if I can call you that - it's a mouthful of a name however you look at it (
