Have you tried running the Pleo in a brighter area? It looks like the Pleo could be going to sleep because it's too dark, as it's also doing some of the shivering skits associated with the scared of the dark feature. This would make sense if the Pleo has just suddenly grown up to an adult, since I believe Pleos only response to darkness once they reach a certain stage of life. If moving the Pleo to a brighter area doesn't work, I would try replacing the clock battery (if you haven't already, I wasn't sure if you were referring to the clock or main battery) and resetting it to the exact time you're running the Pleo at.

Hi

I tried moving to bright area but it still sleep.
I had just replace the noon clock battery...same result
I had changed to new battery...same result
I had tried resetting it...same result

Can you tell if the front left leg is fine? I tried touching it but it does not make sound as though it is injured. I am afirad the leg is broken or wiring problem that caused my pleorb to sleep within 2 min upon power on.

Had email innolab but yet to receive respond...bought this directly from Pleo world.

Pleo RBs do need a very large amount of light to be happy, I would try downloading the "scared of the dark" patch to prevent the Pleo from showing scared of the dark behaviors before giving up on it, but I have never seen a Pleo RB that always goes to sleep after only a minute or so and this does look like it could be a problem. It's possible the noon clock isn't functioning correctly and always tells the Pleo that it's night time.

It's hard to tell from the video, but it does look like there could be something wrong with the front left leg. Loose wires at the hip and knee potentiometers are very common in Pleo RBs and will prevent movement at the effected joint, but should not cause the shutting down issues you're experiencing here and is likely not the source of the issue. Loose wires can be fixed relatively easily with a soldering iron, but if the Pleo is new and also experiencing other issues, I would probably opt for a return. Innvo usually responds to my e-mails within two days of contacting them, so hopefully you'll hear back shortly!

I had a Pleo stuck sleeping once, it righted itself after an update and resetting and replacing the clock battery several times.

The front leg is more worrisome, I'm afraid shipping him back for repairs/replacement is probably your best choice :(

Glad that they finally agreed that there was something wrong and you've gotten things sorted out! This whole situation does sound like it's been quite a headache! I've had to return two Pleo RBs in the past, but both of my replacements were brand new and worked perfectly (and still work perfectly years later) if that eases your concerns at all!

I went through Robotshop which is the US distributor of Pleo (where I purchased from) instead of directly through Innvo, but it took about two weeks after I sent in the broken RB for me to get a new one.

If you email them they should be able to provide a new card, but I'm not sure the cards are 'locked' to a Pleo per sei, any card would work.
