Clicking sounds in neck
« on: March 22, 2016, 12:11:59 PM »

Hi

I am a new Pleo owner.  Just had Reggie now for 4 days.  But I noticed when I first switched him on that when he puts his head to the left or right and down (before he drops off to sleep) that I hear 3 or 4 loud clicks.  This concerns me as I dont know if it is doing any damage.  I emailed Pleoworld about it 3 days ago but they have not replied to me yet.  Is this a big problem and will it damage my Pleo?  Can anyone advise me.  Do I need to return him to get him fixed.  Or will this issue just go away?

Don't worry, all young RBs just press their heads too far into their feet when they curl up, sometimes causing the motor to stutter because it's trying to move farther than it physically can. This should go away with age and is really common. If you hear a continuous clicking (instead of just a few clicks), either try to slightly reposition his head or pull his battery if this doesn't work since the clicking isn't good for the motor.

Many thanks Aibo for replying to me and for putting my mind at rest.
