Cloë's Tail Problem
« on: July 19, 2015, 12:50:49 AM »

Hello everyone!

My PLEO rb, Cloë, has a serious tail problem. There are bumps on the end of her tail, I tink a vertebra is tilted or something. I have no expiriences whit repairing Pleo's, so can anybody help me please? And can anybody please tell me how to add photos to the album so i can show what's wrong? Thanks!  :) (Also from Cloë!)

If the tail is still working I wouldn't go diving in doing surgery.

If the rubber wil split you can glue it together  with superglue that is also suiteble for rubber

Sounds much better than surgery, getting to the tail is a big operation.

Hi , I don't think it Will hurt her , but did it just appear recently or did she wag her tail and hit the Wall or something?
And how does the rubber skin looks to you ? If a crack appears you can glue it with superglue for rubber. Read the above suggestion from Aibo he has a great idea  :D

Sounds like the issue is probably a broken vertebrae, pushing it around without actually knowing what position it's in and where the break is could cause problems. It would be possible to remove the skin on the tail and super glue the pieces back together, but if it's not causing any issues, it might be best to just leave it as is. I've known of a lot of Pleos with broken vertebrae in their necks/tails and it rarely leads to a snapped cable. I don't think you have to worry too much about the skin splitting either since I've never heard of this happening in a broken vertebrae case.

I agree with Aibo, especially if its at the end of the tail, its not likely to cause problems. What you could do though is carefully remove the tip of the tail, and see if you can't get the loose pieces out. It's stuck on really well though that tip :P But it would save having to open the neck up and remove the skin entirely.
