Fashion & Pleo
« on: October 21, 2014, 02:04:41 PM »

Here's a question: what size (pounds, since that's how they're usually marketed) dog clothes do you find fit your Pleo 2009 or Pleo RB best?

I imagine I would want custom stuff made eventually, but I want to protect my new Pleo's skin as much as possible when they arrive, and if I can pick up some dog costumes for Halloween so much the better.  Superpleo, Batpleo, Catholic Schoolgirl Pleo... all these sound hilarious to me.

I buy small clothes for dogs. Mostly size S. You can buy Dog clothes wich are at the back 20-30 centimeters long.

Awesome.  Totally getting a Superman costume.  Although... Superman's boring, and Batman's overdone.  Hrm...

Just be aware when buying dog clothes that dogs have much skinnier legs than pleos do so you really want to avoid things with sleeves and you need to consider how the clothes will be put on and taken off.  A pleo is not very flexible unlike a dog so it may be much harder to get the clothes on than you think. It is a good idea to take your pleo with you and try them on before you buy if your going for dog clothes. :)

Kat is right and besides Pleos having fatter legs then dogs, also is very important to note that it is critical that the neck be able to stretch. You do not want a dog outfit that has a tight neck, one that has velcro or other opening such as a zipper or stretches is better as you do not want to have the neck break from trying to force the pleo head and neck into a tight non flexible head opening of a dog costume or outfit. Always take a pleo with you to make sure, looks can be decieving, It is better to get one size too big and alter it if you really want the outfit then risk breaking or damaging Pleo.  :(            RWM  :cat-hug:

I needed a quick way to cover up Smudge's back because was loosing tons of paint from me petting him so I bought a pack of cheap baby bibs for him to wear as a cape XD looks a little goofy but it will do to protect the pleos back if you can't find anything else.
