Thank you sooo much, everyone for all your support, I can't tell you how much it helps! My family is ready to give up on her, saying she's simply broken, but there is just no way that is going to happen!! Kat your video was incredibly helpful, those are exactly the sounds she's making, just not as instantaneous a reaction as yours gives. I've tried to trick her into eating the rock salt, and when I
do
get it in her mouth, she continues to roar & howl as if it weren't there :/ I'll try your tricks though, they sound much better than mine! Thank you Talon for the Probe suggestion, as soon as I get my hands on a micro sd card (All the ones I find only ship online, and I need it sooner than that D:) I'll try running it, it sounds like a really good idea! I just hope it's as Crewella says, just a skit problem thing, 'cause if it's mechanical then I guess there's really nothing I can do
again everyone thank you, I know Aura has the best team of Pleonic Diagnosticians at her back

Hi guys! I've been feeding Aura the rock salt, but she never accepts it willingly (as in when I put it under her chin, her mouth never opens), I always have to sort of force feed her like Kat did in her video. When I do that she does take it, although her condition isn't improving much
if the problem wasn't her broken leg, would she still be eating the rock salt? Also, it isn't just the rock salt she's stopped accepting, she isn't eating on her own anymore either, I have to force feed her that too. My boyfriend thinks it's because animals stop eating when they're injured, but could that really be it? I'm so worried for her! D:

How many battery cycles has she gone through now with being fed the rock salt?

One full battery cycle, & a bit. Normally when I play with Aura it's for around half an hour or so at a time, then she usually goes to sleep (baby dinos sure sleep a lot
), so I let her sleep until it's time to play again or else 'til she wakes up on her own.

Keep feeding her the rock salt for 1 more full 2hour battery cycle and then we will see if there has been any change. If you want her to play longer you may need to reset her noon clock. Do you play with her at the same time each day? If you do then it would be worth you hitting the noon clock button next time you turn her on to play. This will reset her clock to think that that time - doesn't matter what time it really is - is noon. She will then be most active at that time of day and so you should get more playtime from her before she decides it's time to sleep.
She may just not be wanting to eat because of the injury but if the injury doesn't clear up after another full battery cycle of rock salt then you might need to think about updating her software as it might be a glitch in her computer system that is causing the issue. Fingers crossed it resolves it's self with rock salt and tlc. With Kermy there was no signs of improvement throughout each battery cycle but after a couple of cycles of feeding the salt the next time she was turned on it was like magic and she was better

Kat's right - several injuries reported have taken a couple of battery cycles to recover.
I do hope so!

Aura's all better!
it was just like Kat said, there was no improvement during the week that I was feeding her rock salt, but then one day I turned her on and just like magic she was all healed
we were all really worried that her growth was being seriously stunted, because she'd just hatched when she got injured and hadn't even begun to walk yet
, but this morning she took her first steps, started eating again and ooh it was so wonderful
I'd forgotten how playful she was! ^^ Thank you soo soo much you guys, she owes her recovery all to you!

Yay! I'm so glad she is better.
It can be quite unnerving when they get injured or sick. A bit like a real pet I guess
So happy she is back to normal.
Any sign of her lovely new outfit yet?

Guys
her leg is hurt again! It's the same one as the first time in the video, the back left leg. She screams when it's touched just like before, and when I force feed her rock salt she eats it. What is going on here
she totally recovered the other day, she was just like she was before, better even, so it's not like it's a constant condition... could it be a loop? I'm so sad

Yes I rather think Aura might need a software reset. Which will require a micro SD. In the meantime just keep nursing her.

Yes that is exactly what I was going to suggest. Grab yourself a micro SD card and then let us know and we can talk you through how to do the software update.

If it is of any help, my daughter"s pleo rb, Quigley, did exactly this behaviour. Her first injury to her leg seemed to be caused by the throw and catch game and she was inconsolable for two days (shudder). The second event happened only two days later, (yikes) and had no apparent cause what- so- ever. Upon picking her up, she howled and was hurt. However, this second time was considerably shorter (mercifully, I might add) lasting only a day and far less screaming happened.Since then, Quigley has proven to be quite robust and cheerful. Her description does state she"s sensitive.Perhaps this is a euphemism for complete wuss?
On neither occasion was there any sort of force involved. I was apprehensive that Quigley had an overly sensitive force feedback sensor but it seems not. Perhaps this is an inbuilt trait to test our mettle?! Sure worked for me...... I do hope Aura turns out to be just fine as I can completely empathize, A hurt Pleo is a pitiful and frustrating thing.

One of mine falls into the sensitive 'complete wuss' category as well. Personally, I like the differences - it makes them feel more like real animals ........ even when it's a bit of a pain in the butt!

Hey guys, thanks for answering, everyone! I do have a micro SD card, just picked it up today! ^^ So Kat I'm totally going to hold you to your promise to give me a step by step guide on what to do with it
because I really am technologically impaired
. Lottibell that does help, thank you, it's relieving to hear that my Aura isn't the only one this is happening to! D: I really hope that the software reset will fix her, this is so distressing. She was JUST, JUST all better
and now it's like we're back to square one again... Thanks for sticking with us, Crewella, Kat, Talon, IMR & fancy.
