since my ugobe is OS1.0 i want to update to OS2.0 but i unzipped it to 2 diffrent SD cards and pleo just starts up normaly like no sd card is pressent?? i tried 1.1 and 2.0 but the same thing happened is there anything i can do?

Sounds like an SD card issue, do you have another you can try?

Hi, Bonus. How big are your cards? Pleo doesn't like anything bigger than two gigs. If there's anything else I can think of I'll post again.

i use these cards for skits so i know they work i have a 512 MB and a 2 GB both will not work i tried USB but no icon shows up on my computer after connecting pleo Cry i hope hes not broken Cry

FWIW I have been told it's better to upgrade to 1.1 from 1.0 before then upgrading to OS 2.0.

What files are showing on the SD card - try looking at the 2GB one.

i got her to update by the USB on a diffrent computer... but now i don't know if the sd's work? i was thinking in maby trying a skit the files on it are (i don't know if its 1.1 or 2.0 because i tried both) a sounds folder, head.img, init.amx, pleo.img, pleo.urf, pleopm.urf and a adobe file i unziped them to the sd but when i put it in pleo i heard a chime the 'huh' then he started up normaly. these cards worked before with updating and skits a year ago so i don't know what happened since...

Have you got the right files, the Ugobe ones, not the RB?

Edit: Yup just checked Smiley Are you copying all files to the root of the SD card? (No folders!) FWIW Lilo's SD slot doesn't work properly all the time either, sometimes I have to remove the SD card and put it back in a few times before she will read it. I guess it doesn't matter now, but for future reference you could try that.

If your going to try a skit then remember to make sure you erase everything off the SD card first then just install the files of the skit on the card.   Smiley  I'm glad you got her fixed.  Smiley

the skits ran fine... i did zip all files onto the root of the stick the folder was part of it... i will try updating to 2.0

sorry for the double post here...

it must have been the computer i was unzipping on i went on my normal computer and it ran fine he is now 2.0 but he freezes alot i turn him on 'huh' runs for a couple of secounds and frezees again??

Pleos do freeze occasionally at first on OS2, but that sounds more like it might be a battery problem?  Check the battery first. Smiley

Yeah the just freezing instead of falling asleep when battery is low was my only real gripe about 2.0. If pleo would just fall asleep I'd really know what was going on. I'm with Crewella. Try charging your battery.

Just to give you the heads up for Rose, Innvo in hong Kong will be off at the moment for Chinese new year.  I think they have about a week off so probably wont be back to work till end of next week.  I think Chinese new year started on Wednesday of this week and goes till next Wednesday but not totally sure.  It is on now though and I know they have time off for it.  I'm sure you said you were dealing with the Hong Kong office for Rose.  I'm not sure if the American office also shuts down for this too or not.  Try not to worry too much about not having heard back.  Just give them till Thursday or Friday and try calling again.   Smiley

I'm glad Plinka does seem to be running ok now.  I found that my guys froze quite a bit on 2.0 in the beginning - just for the first few battery cycles then it settled down and now they are back to normal with no freezing until the battery runs out of gas.  Cheesy

My Wilbur froze up all the time when I first upgraded him to OS 2. After a couple of battery cycles, he is just fine. Hang in there! Smiley
