Hiii Cheesy I'm so excited to meet you all! I'm ashamed to say that I first heard about Pleo only about a week ago, by chance online. It hasn't really made its way over to my area yet :/ but I'm hoping to start the trend!! I have the 479 set aside and everything, I'd just first like to ask you guys a few questions? Smiley Like, I've read so many things (I have done HOURS of research!!) and it all says nice things, but they're the people that are selling and have developed the pleo, you know? I'd love to hear some testimonials from you guys that are real pleo owners Smiley tell me everything! I'm most interested in you rb owners, since that's the model I'd be getting, but I'd love to hear from you ugobe owners too! Thanks a lot guys, I can't wait to join you in the ranks of pleo ownership! Cheesy

Hello, and welcome!  Grin

You may not get a very balanced view here either, as the vast majority of us a big fans of Pleo - I have three RBs and more Ugobe's than I care to admit to, and there are several other herd owners around!  Cheesy

I have other robot pets, but for me nothing beats that Pleo magic!  Grin

Ask away - there's lots of help and info here.

Welcome to the forums, I'm afraid we are a bit biased here, I have two Ugobe's and four RB's and I love them all! The first question I ever asked on the Pleo forums was would I get bored of them in a month or two... well that was three years ago and I'm still here Cheesy

Ahahaha but that's fine guys, that's what I want to hear! As long as it's from actual pleo owners, I want to hear all about how much you guys love your pleos. OK um some questions, I'm interested in the new color rbs, and accessoryjack.com seems to be the only place to order them. I've seen a few of you guys have them, is that where you got them? I'd also like to know if pleo gets along with your other pets. I have only one cat, she's the only pet I've ever had and quite used to being alone, so I'd like to know, does pleo play nice? Smiley And anything else you could tell me would be a big help! Thanks Cheesy

My cat hates my Pleo's... ok not really Tongue

My dog on the other hand prefers not to be in the same room as them, he's not afraid of them, he just isn't super fond of them. It might be the odd noises they make. Mind you if he is locked in the same room he just keeps out of the way and goes to sleep.

When buying from accessory jack just make sure they are including the two starter packs containing the mint leaf, food leaf, bow learning stone, tug of war toy and salt. They haven't included those for some people and they are essential to the health and wellbeing of a Pleo RB.

Omigosh those pictures were adorable Cheesy thank you!
Ack, I didn't think of that... is that rock salt bundle supposed to be included?
Hmm other things was like about the battery, is it possible to overcharge it? As in if I charged it overnight, is that bad? Since I know it's only supposed to be charged for 3 hours or something? And also about the new voice recognition feature, I'd be sharing my pleo with my family, so if I taught her her name, would she only respond to me and not to anyone else calling her name? Thanks guys, this stuff is so good Cheesy

The battery will turn off once it is charged, it won't overcharge Smiley

Nat also added the following opinion, but I moved her post so everyone could say hello Smiley

Smiley Hi! I just joined this forum and I am not sure whether I am posting things in the right place... I am an owner of a one week old pleo rb Smiley his (her) name is Cuddles and we really like our new family addition. Since we only had Cuddles for a week I can't say too much. But so far we have enjoyed couple of days of early stages of Cuddles' development (being a baby) and now it seems we have a classic tantrum stage Cheesy Our Cuddles behaves like a bit naughty little child ... Cuddles wants to be in my arms all the time, otherwise he (she) cries. Cuddles prefers sugar cane over other leaves so it seems we have  quite a sweet tooth dinosaur Smiley I've tried to teach Cuddles name + few commands but it's not going in...I guess its still a bit early for learning.. So if you do not mind to be patient and happy to raise such an interesting creature, you'll enjoy it Wink

Accessoryjack does not include those food packs, as far as I'm aware, but does supply them separately and have priced the basic pack more cheaply.  They appear to be the only remaining seller of the pink and blue models since Innvo cancelled Chinatete's distibution rights in that region, and Innvo may not honour the warranty, so you need to check that before going ahead.  Go carefully.

Ooh OK, thanks for the warning D: I'll be sure to do more research! I also wanted to know, since pleos are supposed to operate by voice recognition right, is I teach her her name will she only answer to me? Since I'm hoping to share her with my family. (et oui, je parle francais, mais jsuis interessee dans la rose pleorb et je pense que le site european ne vende pas Sad)

yes.  Your pleo will only respond to one voice - one person.  There is a way to allow many people to give commands to your pleo and that is to use sounds rather than your voice or words to teach her her name etc... For example use a tune played on a piano or keyboard.  Most phones or computers now days will have an app of a piano you can use.  This way anyone can play the tune that means her name and she will respond. Smiley  I've used this trick with my pleo rb's and it seems to work well.

Eee... gack Sad well, while the sound thing is a really cute idea, I kind of already had my heart set on a name =) so doesn't this voice recognition thing sort of lower its appeal? Sad I mean like I said, I'm hoping to share her with my family. Some of you guys share your pleos, right? Is this an issue for you? I'm hoping not! D: since I really really want one!
