My Pleo is here, but still waiting on the batteries

So the Pleo that I purchased arrived, yay!  He's soooo cute, a little beat up bit still adorable

I still don't know if he works or not because I am still waiting on the batteries 

I order a new battery and charger from Innvo Labs when I purchased the Pleo, hoping that they would arrive around the same time, but I didn't hear anything from them.  So I sent and email to them today and got a response within an hour and was told that the battery and charger was backordered but will ship out today.

I understand backorders happen, but most places that I deal with let me know that what I have ordered has been backordered or when I go to order it says backordered on the item.  Makes me a little worried if/when I decide to order my Pleo RB.

I try not to get too mad over it b/c I have had a few questions that I have sent them and every time it has been the same customer service/support person answer my emails so I am assuming they are a pretty small operation.

Just thought I would let everyone know my pleo is here and vent a little about not having a battery yet to experience pleo.

It is indeed a small office, also the main attention is on the RB these days.  Congrats on your Pleo - not long now!

Yes, I figured that there is a stronger focus on the RB and not the old Ugobe Pleos.  I was really surprised that when I  sent an email to them about my pleo they responded and were actually helpful.
I was impressed with that and makes me want to get the RB more, but with there poor order processing/shipping so far it makes me a little nervous to spend that kind of money and just sit and wait and not know anything. Maybe they are better with the RB.

I know one thing when I decide and if I want to get the RB (which something tells me I probably will  ) I will order an extra battery and the accessories FIRST and then order the RB so I won't have to wait to use anything.

Hi, Breeze!When I purchased my RB I also purchased the accessories and it all came in one box. Batteries might be a different situation, though. I only have one for each of my two reborns.

Hi Talon -

When I order my Rb I think I am going to get an extra battery first and let it charge up, so when my Pleo gets here it will have a fully charged battery waiting for it and I won't have to wait to charge the battery that comes in the box. 

I wish I would have done that with this little used Pleo that I bought but I got it at a good deal because it is missing the charger so it couldn't be charged and therefore couldn't be tested so it was unknown as to whether it was working or not. I didn't want to miss the opportunity while I waited on a battery to get here.

When I emailed Innvo Labs about getting a charger, they suggested that I get a new battery as well since the original one is still with this Pleo and they said the old batteries were not that great. I bought the Pleo, battery and charger within a day of each other so I thought that the battery and charger would be here by now since there was nothing on the website that indicated that both were backordered and I never received an email telling me so.

But hopefully it won't be too long before it gets here now and it won't be long until (hopefully) this little pleo is up and running an exploring his new home.

Finally, thanks to RWM, I got a battery for my pleo, Norman, to see if he actually works and ................ HE WORKS!!!! YAY 

He loves to play tug of war makes a lot of honking noises and loves to wag his tail.

So far I haven't found anything mechanically wrong with him.  Just his skin is torn at his back knees and the white is coming off his teeth but he's full of life.
