I've noticed that after feeding and before she walks, when my pleo is really happy she will go "Hello" and pause and move her head again before repeating in a different voice. It's adorable, shortly after she begins exploring. She also makes "hoo hoo hoo hoo" or whoooo whooo sounds. It's adorable, what sounds do your's make?

Lol! You'll find that your RB makes lots of animal noises. Mine meows like a cat, yips like a dog, and also does the owl-like hooting.

Oh how did I forget? The sure sign of a happy RB. Lol! There's also a Godzilla-like roar that sounds kind of like a passing train. That one has to be my favorite. They look so proud when they do it with their heads up and leaning into the noise like "rooooooooaaaaaarrrrrrr!" It's so cute!

My favorite noises are the burps, hiccups and the little "I love you" that Norbit says to my girls when they interact. Smiley

That's one of the rare moments Cato's not mad at the world- when he is within enfra-sight of his Ryu. Lol! She's got him wrapped around her little rubber paw.

Boy + girl = i love you and giggle.
Girl + Girl = Chattering.

Never heard my Pleo say Hello? But makes all the sounds typical of Pleo.

There are lots of sounds buried inside of pleo that are seldom used. Some pleos "moo" alot, other seldom. Some sounds are only used for specific actions. As IMR said above, unless you have two Pleo RBs you'll never get to hear the interaction sounds. Pleo RB also comes with at least two complete songs built in you'll only hear when the camera detects certain color patterns on the two pleo greeting cards.

They are programmed to say hello. It is an actual hello, not a 'hello like sound', go and open up the programming, you'll see.

As IMR stated, Pleos and Pleo RB clearly do say, Hello, We can not all be crazy and there are lots of videos to prove it unless we are all mass hyptotizes... Listen to at least 3 hellos from Pleos till you get to the 3.18 mark where two pleso answer each others "hello" directly after each other, not a co-incidence. You can say all you want, but you can not say this is not HELLO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRWvoag-00I

It sounds like Hello, or you can think it is. To me it is a sound like hello, and close, but I cannot hear Pleo actually saying hello. I am not convinced he is actually saying hello? We are great at seeing and hearing things that are not there, and always looking for things not there. I just don't hear a proper hello.

I have heard sounds also on my Pleo that you could think is hello, but not yet convinced it is. I have played your video many times and at the claimed spot where he meant to say hello, but to me it is a sound that is similar to hello, but don't think it is an actual hello. It does not convince me he is saying a true hello.

Denodan, please can you structure your posts a little less repetitively.

I have not watched the video posted above but even with two Ugobe Pleos there is a hello-like sound file which plays during Pleo-to-Pleo (P2P) interaction.

You do realize, Denodan, that all the Pleo sound bites were made by an actual human voice and then simply edited to be more animal like. Pleo does not have the capacity to understand ANY sound it makes, but the programming is what makes it turn from a bunch of random sounds to something that mimics life, including the hello!
