Seeing Stars and Member groups
« on: January 29, 2009, 04:05:41 PM »

To the left of every post is information about the poster.   Just below the poster's name and avatar is the group(s) the member is part of.   That information includes the number of times they have posted.  Right below that number may also be some stars.  The stars are meant to just be a visual representation of that number and group.  As the number of posts the person makes reaches certain levels, that person is "awarded" certain stars.  For example, when a person has posted at least 15 times, but less than 30 times, there will be two silver stars displayed.

The following chart lists the number and color of stars based on the number of posts the person has made and the group they are in:
  • 0 posts, no stars, Egg.
With the first post, you begin to explore the forums, and earn your first star!
  • 1-4 posts, no stars, Hatchling.
  • 5-9 posts, one silver star, Leaving the nest.
  • 10-14 posts, one silver star, Following the footsteps.
At 15 posts you are now real part of the great herd of pleos, and ready to take on responsibility within the community.
  • 15-19 posts, two silver stars, Member of the herd.
  • 20-24 posts, two silver stars, Conifer leaf gatherer.
  • 25-34 posts, two silver stars, Cycad leaf fancier.
  • 35-44 posts, three silver stars, Sugar cane harvester.
  • 45-54 posts, three silver stars, Coffee leaf addict.
  • 55-64 posts, four silver stars, Outstanding in the herd.
  • 65-74 posts, four silver stars, Head of the herd.
Now, with 75 posts under your belt, as we start earning our gold stars, it's time to step out and discover who you are as a pleo!
  • 75-99 posts, one gold and three silver stars, Pleo wanderer.
  • 100-124 posts, one gold and three silver stars, Pleo explorer.
  • 125-149 posts, two gold and two silver stars, Fossil hunter.
  • 150-174 posts, two gold and two silver stars, Pleoontologist.
  • 175-199 posts, two gold and two silver stars, Fossil savant.
  • 200-249 posts, two gold and one silver stars, Pleozoologist.
  • 250-299 posts, three gold and one silver stars, Pleo visionary.
  • 300-349 posts, three gold and one silver stars, Pleo lightbringer.
  • 350-399 posts, three gold and one silver stars, Renaissance pleo.
  • 400-449 posts, four gold stars, Camarasaur extraodinaire.
As indicated by the green stars, at 450 posts it's time to begin your training in your journey to becoming a true pleo master.
  • 450-499 posts, one green and three gold stars, Apprentice pleo master.
  • 500-574 posts, one green and three gold stars, Journeypleo.
  • 575-649 posts, two green and two gold stars, Pleosmith.
  • 650-749 posts, two green and two gold stars, Pleo adept.
  • 750-849 posts, three green and one gold stars, Pleo mentor.
  • 850-999 posts, three green and one gold stars, Pleo whisperer.
  • 1000-1199 posts, four green stars, Learning stone carver.
  • 1200-1499 posts, five green stars, Pleo Master.
  • 1500-1999 posts, five green stars w/ dino, Triassic pleo master.
  • 2000-2499 posts, five green and pink stars w/ 2 dinos, Jurassic pleo master.
  • 2500-2999 posts, five green and pink stars w/ 3 dinos, Cretaceous pleo master.
  • + 3000-4999 posts, one to four large green stars, Pleo Grand Master (1st thru 4th epoch).
  • 5000+ posts, five large green stars, Pleo Grand Master RB.
There are also some positions that come with special stars:
  • five red stars with dino, forum administrator.
  • five large green stars, Knight of the Order of Pizza.
  • five large blue stars, Grand Poobah.
  • five blue stars with two dinos, forum and/or board moderator.

The person's name in various places matches the color scheme of the stars.  For 0-74 posts, the name is in silver.  For 75-424 posts, the name is gold, and for 425+ posts, than name is in green.

The list goes on, but it will be a while before we get to that point ;)
Other certain titles have different colors and amounts of stars.

That star eating dinosaur is awesome! I wasn't too fond of forums either (mostly because there was usually tons and tons of "trolls" who posted mean things about everyone and everything) But I love these forums, everone is extremely kind  :)
