Hello all..

Hi, everyone, I'm Sarah and I'm new.
I recently found out about Pleo and found this forum while looking for more information.
I've been stuck in the the hospital since September.. so I'm very bored and very homesick.
They won't let me keep my boyfriend here and I can't convince him to sneak my dog in so I can hide him under my pillow.
I figure a Pleo might be the next best thing.. he can hang out next to me and hopefully they won't send me to the psych ward if they catch me talking to him.
Sorry if my post is messy, the only way I can access the internet is with the crummy browser on my DSi. I'm kind of worried I might be double posting because it keeps freezing on me when I hit post.
I haven't been able to find one of the new version Pleo yet. I'm really looking forward to getting a new one or maybe one that someone needs to 'rehome'. Everyone, everywhere, seems to be sold out.
I think the ones on ebay from Hong-Kong are 'tweaked' and I have no idea if the ones on Amazon are the new version or not.
Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction, to help me find one?
Nice meeting you all..
-Sarah

Hi Sarah and welcome! I've done too much time in hospital myself - Pleo or Pleo RB would both make great companions! There is a member on here selling an RB on Ebay:
http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1840.msg26902#new
Also I believe several members here have bought an original Ugobe version from some of the Chinese sellers you mention and have been happy with their Pleo - it's just that they're the older Ugobe models as far as I'm aware. I still own two of those older models, and much as I like the Pleo RB I'm still a big fan of the original!
If you're anything like the rest of us, you'll want another one anyway, just to see how they interact!

They both sound great..
What I was worried about with the ebay Hong-Kong ones that I saw, was that when I asked them if they were Pleo rb they said they were original collectors items never been out of the box and that they were just like the Pleo rb because they had 'fixed' the programming. I wasn't sure how they managed to do that without taking them from the box so I decided that wasn't the right one for me.. lol.
I really want the rb so I just kept looking.
I've got 2 young nieces and 2 young nephews and I want to make sure the Pleo survives when I'm better and they come to visit him.
(I'm pretty sure when they find out I have a robot dinosaur, they will never come visit me again.. they'll just come visit the dinosaur..)
They all just look amazing, I would like to have 5 of each.. I've been working on my boyfriend for a year now and he still won't let me get a pot-bellied pig.. maybe I can talk him into a bunch of dinosaurs instead..
I'll bet my 'incredibly brave' Jack Russell Terrier will.. hide under the bed for three weeks when he meets him..
Thanks for the info

Have you tried
http://www.gimmedigi.com/catalog/pleo-rb-p-2145.html
These guys sell the pink and blue ones and they are definitely pleo rb. Some of the other members of the forum have bought their pleos from here and so they seem ok to buy from. They are currently selling them for $458.99USD
Welcome to the forum.
Best of luck getting your pleo.

Hi Sarah
Lovely to meet you.
I would recommend either buying the RB for sale above or buying from Gimmedigi if you want a Pleo RB, or checking eBay for the original Pleo's, if you don't like the response from one seller, just try another and of course make sure you check their feedback

Hi Sarah! Welcome! I bought my pleo rb from gimmedigi and the service was great! I ordered it on Sunday last weekend and it was here on Friday. I have not turned her on yet. I have 2 very young children, and I want some quiet time to set her internal clock and let her hatch without interruption. I am sure you will be happy with your pleo.our whole family loves our Wilbur, and I know we will love Candy too, as soon as I get her working! Best of luck! Hope you are feeling better soon!

I bought Belle from Gimmedigi too, and they were fine. Great communications too, and they were helpful in sorting out my code so I could access her Pleo rb Profile on the website.

Hi Sarah .
Welcome to the forum.
A Hospital is not a fun place to be. I’ve spent a fair bit there including one Christmas but I was so young at the time that most of it I can’t remember now.
As others have said you can get a pink or blue from gimmedigi. They are not the official stockists but they are lagitimit. Chinateet who are Innvo’s official seller for the eastern market may also have some of the pink or blue ones left.
If your like me and prefer a green then afraid pleoworld will probably be soled out for quite sometime but as crewella has mentioned someone from here is selling their pleoRB on fleBay;. How they can bear to part with it I don’t know but there’s no accounting for taste. Lol.
Hope you get well soon.

Hi,
It has been some time I have been in the lovely Pleo world and I just wanted to tell you my experiences with Pleo I got for my daughter from China. It is not RB version but Ugobe original (first one), even tough it was produced 2009 as seller from which I bought it says, it is still a bit old, but new.
And FUN FUN FUN. Me and my girl have loads of fun and I am soo happy I got it for her
, despite the fact it was a bit of a stretch money vise for me, even this one.
You get two batteries, green ones that run so far pretty good (I never saw difference between LiMH - white ones and green - original ones to be able to compare), even tough my Pleo starts feeling fatigue after 30 mins. If I get some extra cash on the side I might call RWMama for a battery, but my wf must not find out or I am toast. She will be all
and I will go
Nice to meet you hope you get one RB or Ugobe.
Off to post some pictures ===>Whoooshhh

I was a little bit worried about getting one from
http://www.gimmedigi.com/catalog/pleo-rb-p-2145.html
.
Just because of the problems I'm reading about in the forum with folks who have a blue or pink rb
I also see pinks and blues on
http://www.accessoryjack.com
for the same price. Not sure what I'm going to do.. I had wanted a green one but I like the blue also.. I just want to know if it;s 'safe' to get one yet..

A quick google of that site suggests that it is a legitimate site to purchase from. However please note that it doesn't matter where you buy a pink or blue one from, it is the same Pleo and subjected to the same problems.

I'm back home!!! Finally!! Lets hope I can stay this time!!!
Yes, I know they are all subject to the same problems it's just that, I mean I felt so bad for Kat reading through Kermit the Pink Pleo RB post and I didn't know if they had found some sort of fix or something. for the skin and stuff.
I guess I/ll just try and find out first.. thanks all.

Hello,
It puzzles me that PleoRb are showing tears problem so quick?? After all that hype about "improvements" in body/paint work it really bugs me that the price factor does not seem to follow expectation in regard to quality of the materials in new PleoRb. I supose it depends on hours spend playing with them but even so this sould be really noted by Innovo labs...
I am willing to test one if they give me for free

It is a disappointment but it must be noted that the original Pleo's also had skin issues at first. I would expect that it is the hardest part of Pleo to get right, but hopefully the next batch shows some improvements.
