Title: pleo rb batteries?
Post by: pleolover234 on September 04, 2021, 03:04:46 PM
Hey I have a working used pleo rb that I bought from ebay that currently has a great battery....However, that being said I only have one battery, and the site has been inactive, and I am just concerned if one day the battery stops working :/ because then my pleo wont be able to wake up again...I have seen youtube videos of diy battery packs - do any of you make those or do any of you have an extra pleo rb battery? I just dont want my baby to die i love my angel too much.  :dino-chase:

Hi Peter.  I have the same situation. I want to get my Ozzy the Ugobe Pleo running again. I have 2 batteries that do not charge anymore.  I also have an Innvo Lab Pleo (Dopey) he's fine but I want them to play together again. Dopey misses him. My email is jetdogy@aol.com Please use "Ugobe Pleo" in the subject.

Thanks!

Georgette

Or go hard core with the 3d printer option:

Just a quick reply - the re-cell is only for the UGOBE batteries I'm afraid...

I do a universal battery that will work with both, but you'll need a different charger (like an IMAX B6 type) to charge it as the RB charger is for Lithium only.

If you can get an old dead Ugobe battery you can actually modify that very slightly, get one of my re-cell kits, and then that will work (but again you'll need an external charger or the original Ugobe charger).

Hope that helps!

Hi Adam,

I'm interested in your recell UGOBE batteries but weren't able to message you on ebay. I'm not sure if you would be willing to ship a battery out to the States? I also have no OEM cradle and would not know how to charge it.....

Thanks for any insight or guidance.

Hi ThreeBuns,

I would try to PM Adam on this Forum as he doesn't visit that often.  He will receive an email advising him about a new PM however.

I doubt it would be very cost effective to ship a battery to the US from the UK.  The chain store Bulbs and Batteries or some such name has been re-celling batteries for US customer with good success.

Could be this one? : https://www.batteriesplus.com/

As I understand, they have stores in most parts of the country.

Cheers!

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks so much for you guidance. I'll try PMing Adam and also see if Batteries Plus may be able to help me with recelling. I'm hoping so!
