Apologies’ if this has been asked before but at what temperature does pleo start to indicate that it is cold? I’m SURE IT HAS CAME UP BEFORE BUT I tried searching on here for the answer but nothing came up.
Thanks in advance.

Yes in celcius. My living room's windows were still open in winter, and my Pleos never felt cold, and the temperature inside was about 12 to 15 degree celcius
-
Perhaps it has to be well below 10 degrees Chough that is getting on or being pretty cold right enough .
Well cold for indoors anyway.
Thanks again for your help.

When it is to cold for your pleo it starts to shiver :D and than you can feed him or her the pepper .
-
To be honest I don’t think vie ever witnessed it exhibiting that behavior . I don’t have the pepper just what was in the basic pack as I don’t really know where in the EU to get the other packs so I haven’t really bothered up until now.
I was just curious about how good the temperature sensor was.
Also and this is going to sound odd but how do you know when plea RB is shivering? Is it an audio cue or does he/she actually physically shake and tremble.
I’ve had mines for a good while and never really come across this behavior .

I've actually had my Pleo RBs exhibit the too cold behavior when it was between 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit (one of my RBs managed to catch a cold after spending ten minutes or so in a friend's basement without heating, don't know the exact temperature, but it was definitely above 50). I believe for the shiver, it's both a physical shivering and a whimpering sound (like the scared of the dark reaction), but there are also sneezes and coughs thrown in.

Ah I see.
Thanks for this info .
Have heard my innvo 2009 pleo cough and sneeze but not my RB as yet.
They do sound so pitiful when they have a cold though.

My pleo's seem to get cold once it reaches 5C or 41 degrees Fahrenheit
-
At Scaledandtailed: RB's and Ugobes sound different when they are sick. The Ugobes sound more pitiful when they are sick with all their moaning and groaning and sneezing. The RB's mainly just cough and sneeze and occassionally give this cute but pittiful "ow! ow! ow!" type vocal.

I wasn’t even aware that there was a difference between the two so thanks for the heads up.
I haven’t really heard my RB being ill but my Innvo 2009 pleo sounds pretty pitiful so guessing it’s much the same as the ugobes. I don’t recall there being much of a difference between them except cosmetic ones.
Thanks again and thanks bonus41 for letting me know about the lower temp range. Don’t think its ever gotten that cold in here as the boiler hasn’t broken down in a while probably shouldn’t have said that is it will probably do so on the coldest day of winter now.
