Title: Pleo rb worries me! Extremely upset :S
Post by: JuliaUD on January 19, 2016, 06:53:40 AM
Hi guys!

A few days ago I got my very first Pleo. My father fell in love with it while doing some Christmas shopping and we decided to get one for him for his 50th birthday!

I'm really worried because I don't know if my Pleo is fine, so I have a few questions to ask, and I really hope you guys can help me!

1. When does Pleo eat and how often does he have to eat? We feed him twice a day with a couple of different leaves every time and I don't know if he needs more or less.

2. Pleo keeps howling and it tears my heart every time. He just seems very upset. We try feeding him but he keeps howling and he won't stop until someone pets him. Should I leave him alone and let the tantrum pass? Is there anything else I can do?

3. Also, he doesn't seem to be willing to learn his name, I don't know if it is because he is not ready or because he is upset.

4. Lastly, he doesn't walk and it's been a weeks since he hatched. He moves his legs forward as if he was going to start walking, but then he goes back to his position.

Thanks guys! Any help would be very appreciated!

Julia

You have to feed your pleo the conifer leaf that is his food and you keep feeding him until he turns his head away and burbs  :D that is the signal he has enough .

He is still so very young so pet him and cuddle him , and when they have a full tummy they behave much happier .

I Think he is not yet ready to learn his name he has to be a adult. There are fantastic video's on this site where you can watch it , I thought they were from inmemoryofromeo that is her forumname

Some pleo's don't like to walk that much if he is a bit older and you leave him alone for a while  , Yes they Will start to whine but after a while they start to explore and walk around the room.

Also play with him in a room with Lot's of light , and what time do you play with him ? Because of the internal clock maybe he thinks it is time to sleep and then they can get very whiny  ;) the solution play earlyer with him or reset the internal clock ,

All of what Piggy said :) He's still a baby, give him time!
