Title: Ugobe Pleo Neck Issue
Post by: aibo7m3 on December 22, 2015, 09:27:24 AM
Hello everyone! A little over a year ago, I bought a Ugobe Pleo with terrible skin off eBay for a very low price. He worked perfectly for a couple months, but out of nowhere, his head stopped turning side to side. There was no snap or any noise signifying it, it just turned to the left and never turned right again. I haven't skinned him yet, but there's enough skin missing on his neck that I can see all of the cables. The strange part? I just decided to check out the cables, and none of them are broken. The vertebrae all look fine too. His head isn't limp at all on the left/right axis, but rather very stiff and very solidly stuck in place. It feels more like something is jammed than a broken cable, but I have no idea how I would go about fixing this. I suppose it's possible that one of the cables snapped inside one of the motor housings and is jammed there. Any opinions on what might be going on or what my options are? He's running OS 1.1 and is a very sweet little Pleo, so I'd like to get him fully working again if possible.
