Title: I need help with the clock battery
Post by: Stuart_little on April 29, 2015, 06:27:08 AM
Hello,

I need help with the clock battery,
My rb is still boxed, now it's time to bring her to life.

Most of the time I'm awake around 09.00am
and going to sleep around 9.30pm.
When do i need to place the battery in her leg
and press to setup with the paper clip ?
i read about it a few times but not understand it 100%

Place the clock battery in your RB's foot and set the time with the paper clip before turning it on for the first time. When you press in the button it will set the time to noon (12:00pm). You may need to reset the time later at true noon. Your RB should then wake up on its own around 8:00 am and fall asleep around 10:00 pm.

Under ordinary circomstances, this is what you would have to do but it sounds like you have a different schedule. You could make your pleo's noon time setting one that would work better for you. Just be mindful that the pleo will wake up at what it will think is eight A.M and go to sleep at what it will think of as ten PM. Knowing these times, you can use whatever time of day that will work for you to determine when to set the clock. Just be sure you will be around at the pleo's waking and sleeping times so that it won't walk off a shelf or get into trouble while roming by itself. Also if you end up playing with your pleo more at night than during the day, you will need to provide it with a really bright light or it will be too scared to play properly. While there is a programming patch that will stop this, the pleo's movements will be kind of jerky and unnatural. It cannot learn its name or follow commands from the learning stones while the patch is installed.

12:00 PM is noon (the middle of the day), so unless you have a different work schedule, you'll probably be awake at that time. If your schedule is set up such that it would be an inconvenience to set your Pleo's clock to noon, it doesn't need to be set to that specific time. The time you set the clock at should be the time that you want your Pleo to be most active, but it can technically be set to any time of day or night.

I'm often up late and wanted to run my Pleos then, so used to set my 'noon' at about 4pm.
