Title: Nightfury Make-A-Wish
Post by: AwkwardKittyCat on September 26, 2014, 11:14:10 AM
So this kid really loved How to Train Your Dragon, and his wish was to have a dragon, so some people took a pleo and made it into Nightfury! http://www.startechplus.com/wordpress/?p=143
Really cool stuff

Caleb Chung is amazing and everone that helped this little boy with his wish of a dragon did a fantastic job. Loved watching it be built and then the presentation. Hope the little boy continues to improve and enjoy his "nightfury".          RWM  :cat-hug:

AwkwardKittyCat I have merged your two topics and removed the second post that said basically the same as your first one.  I have also moved it to a more appropriate board.  The original post you made was attached to a very old topic - more than 3 years old since it's last post.  When posting in future please consider how old the thread is you are adding to.  It may well be better just to create a whole new thread rather than resurrect a dead one.  This is what I did with your post, splitting it out so it is it's own thread.  Also be careful of creating multiple threads or posts containing the same information.  One thread on a topic means that all the comments on this topic will be kept together in one place and makes it easier for everyone to find, read and enjoy or add to.    Keeps everything neat and tidy.  Thanks :)

I have to say this is a very interesting topic.  I took a look at the website and what a wonderful job they did.  Here are a couple of pics from the site for those who haven't gone there yet.

Done by Caleb Chung and a group of other talented people.  Well worth a look.  I wonder if we will soon see little dragons for sale in the world.  The video on the site is lovely showing the dragon moving :)

What a touching video! They should have added music!

what will they name the dragon? Night Fury? And if they can make life forms like these even for little boys, I don't think other lifeforms are far away. Did the boy have cancer?

Yes, Echo. He had brain cancer according to the article. There's a video? Where is it? I found a very short news clip. Was that the video you're talking about?

Here is the link tot he video on youtube.  It is more about the boy being given the dragon than the dragon itself but does show the dragon with wings moving.

No, it was a bit longer than a short newsclip. I think you can google Pleo dragon make a wish boy cancer if you want to. That's what I did. not sure if I can post links directly on this forum. Anyway let me see if I can find it: well it doesn't look like I can do a google search for it but I am sure the youtube video is included in the link that was posted to Kaleb Chung's article.
