Title: Neck issues
Post by: Julesandal on August 06, 2014, 06:34:51 AM
Hi everyone, Im new here so not sure if I'm doing this right.

I have a PLEO, its not a new one I know that. Probably about 8 years old or more.  He works fine and his head moves round but his neck leans to the right,  all the time... it doesnt ever look left and in the off position it leans over to the right.  Nothing major like what has been posted in previous posts, but im not sure if this is just the way it is, or if I can do something with it.  Im worried about causing further damage!

I have tried gently to move the neck the other way and it does go left, all the way I think.  No noises, no resistance.   But I havens forced anything.    Anyone got any ideas?  Appreciate any help / advice.

thank you

Probably a broken cable if you can pull it across with no resistance. It may be jammed on one side so that it still pulls that way but not the other.

We have a repair thread here if you are game to try surgery :)

It doesn't sound good but I am sure something will come along for you to resolve the issue.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm afraid I agree with IMR, it sounds as though there's a broken cable on the side-to-side function. :(

Yes it does sound very much like a broken cable.
Check out our repairs thread here for a look at how to do the repairs :)
