Hello and welcome! :D

There's lots of information on here, and plenty of people around to help.  This would be a good place to start:

YAY! because you see, my 16th birthday is at the end of October.....and a 16th birthday is always a big deal right? so i actually made up my mind and decided that i want a Pleo RB and then i found this site on a great deal [better than $400] so i keep bugging my mom and FINALLY she said "I'll work something out with your Grandparents" That MAGIC sentence.... i knew my wish would finally come true, and now i hear that this site seems OKAY?   :bouquet1:

I just wanted to point out that the Pleos on Amazon are actually from Semsons, so it's really buying from the same distributor either way. ^^ I got my Pleo from Amazon/Semsons and he ended up getting a broken leg after only a little over a week, but I think that was just bad luck and other members have bought perfectly fine Pleos from the same place. Good luck getting a Pleo, the wait might be hard, but it'll be worth it once you have a Pleo of your own.

Forget about it for a Pleo, my cats would like that, but that is too expensive for my cats, esp since I have seven of them, but it would be nice for a Pleo too.              RWM  :cat-hug: and the pleo township of the Redwoods

I'm not sure if I'd leave a pleo on the floor either. Too much of an accidental stumble-over hazard. Honestly at shutdown, your pleo will go into a standing position with its head and tail straight out. Not very conducive to a bed but you can do whatever you like. Mine all stand on my dresser neck to tail. If I choose to use the wakeup feature on one of my RB's I will put them in the floor near my windows. That way when they wake up, they won't fall or get stuck under  furniture or something when they move around and since I know where they are, I won't stumble over them either. If you really want to make your pleo a little home/storage space, you could get a nice-sized cardboard box and do some decorating and maybe add a blanket and a little stuffed animal buddy if you wanted to. Check out Crafters Corner here on the forums if you need ideas. Have fun with it! Anyway welcome to the forum and I hope you get your pleo!

the bed you showed probably wouldn't work for a pleo - you may find it too hard to get the pleo in and out and it would depend on how big it was on the inside.  The top of it looks too much like he might not balance well on it and could be at risk of falling off.  Pleos like a nice sturdy place to stand for sleeping.  When they sleep they go into the packing position which is standing upright with all legs straight and the neck and tail sticking straight out.  So a sleeping pleo is a long pleo :)  I have six and they all sleep on my bookshelf.  I moved the books and now have two shelves all taken up by pleos.  This keeps them off the floor and out of harms way.  Many of us on here use shelves as pleo beds.  Some people like to put theirs back into their boxes between plays so you could consider that too.  Others have beds - usually cat or dog beds but ones with no roof work best.  I would wait till you have a pleo then you can get a good feel for what would be the right size bed but something like this would work if you really want to buy a bed for him

Kat is right, leaving them on the floor can be dangerous, tripping over a pleo is not good for you or them.. or a dog knocking them over by accident either is a good way to end up with an injured Pleo. Here are some of the ways I have stored my pleos, some are for looks, others just because what do you do when you have 27 pleos ;D ??? so myne unless I am playing with them stay in their boxes and all boxes are now labled with their names as there are just too many and it gets confusing. Here are some of my favorite beds and photos of them on shelves, before I had 27..LOL
I love the last one best , of Rossella in her Cat bed, and the one of Baby Ruth in her leopard dress and matching bed. LOL. Let me know which ones you like best.          RWM  :cat-hug: and the Pleo township of the REdwoods P:)
