I know this is after Pirate Day, but this one eyed kitten a raccoon attack survivor is so cute, he really does look like a pirate! I would love to have this little guy, but with eight my hands are full and it looks like he is in good hands now.

Meet Sir Stuffington, an one eyed kitty who survived a raccoon attack and was saved by a kind person along with his 2 brothers. “His feral litter was attacked by a raccoon, mom and one baby didn’t make it,” said his foster mom.
When he was turned into Multnomah County Animal Services, they discovered that he had calicivirus, a severe flea infestation, a heart murmur, a missing eye and a possible jaw fracture that has since healed. He was left with a smile resembling a pirate – a cute pirate that he is.

I am considering getting a pet cat and one of the ones I have been looking at, her name is Jane, has one eye and a wonky jaw. I have been watching this cat rescue center on facebook for the past three years and I saw the pictures of Jane when she first arrived and she looked a real mess but looking at her current photos her disfigurment is actually really cute! :D
EDIT: I can't link to the photo, it is on facebook but it will only link to the rescue groups page and not the picture of the cat I'm talking about, they have hundreds of cats for adoption so her photo is hard to find without a link. Sorry!

Awe! In two thousand ten when I took my Guinae Pig to get her nails trimmed, I came across a medium-sized dog named Leslie. She had some sort of retinal defect that would eventually render her blind. The lady over the recycled pet section kept telling me about her like she was trying to sell her to me or something. I guess she thought I'd understand her better because I was blind too. Eventually she persuaded me to go over to her cage to meet her. She was really timid though and wouldn't let me touch her. I figured she might not make a good pet in a home with two small children so I gently declined. Finally I told the sales lady my name was Leslie too and we both had to laugh at that one.
