The Ugobe Pleo's are greener then the Innvo Pleo's. and the Innvo Pleo's are more yellow then the Ugobe ones. and the green on the Innvo ones seems darker then on the Ugobe ones.

Check the serial number of your Pleo (sticker on the foot/box or on the ID card).

Innvo Pleos start with serial number 8168XXXXXXX8

The only differences between the Ugobe pleo and the Innvo Labs 2009 pleo are hardware related.  A Ugobe pleo running LifeOS1.1 is running the same code as the Innvo Labs pleo.   Both models use the exact same computer chips and run the same software.  This will not be true of the next gen pleo, when they come out.

Since his foot starts with 110- you most likely have a Ugobe pleo.

Other ways to tell include looking at the charger base (the Innvo Labs charger has the tiny refurb switch inside it), the Innvo Labs box is also different (it says Innvo Labs on it!), and at present, the ONLY way to get an Innvo Labs pleo is to order it DIRECTLY FROM Innvo Labs (Innvo Labs does not sell through any stores yet).  Well, I guess it's possible to get an Innvo Labs pleo 2nd hand.... but that's not typical when bought from a store....  So if you are unsure of where your pleo came from, odds are it's a Ugobe model. ;)

The only other sure fire way to tell is to turn on your pleo while while being held at a 90-degree angle and simultaneously pressing the touch sensors on the left back foot, front right foot, tail, and under the chin for three seconds, then releasing all sensors and pushing the pleo button 9 times at exactly one second intervals.  If you pleo responds by saying "Derek Dotson is my hero" then you have a 2009 Innvo Labs pleo. :D :D :P

Oh, Poo!

Oh, and I forgot to warn you, if you push the pleo button 10 times instead of nine, it activates the self-destruct mechanism.  So, be careful if you try!  :o

XD! If anyone can actually perform this manuever, they should have the only pleo that says Derek Dotson is my hero. ;)
