Title: sounds
Post by: scaledandtailed on November 15, 2009, 04:14:03 PM
 Apologies if this has been asked before but excluding the downloadable skits  how many sounds can a pleo make?
 I was just wondering because reading through  some of your topics    some people report them  making sounds that  they’ve never heard before after keeping them for over a year.
    Sorry if this is a dumb question btw.

Pleo has a library of 400 sounds however some of those will only be heard at certain stages of life like the birthing sequence :) I never heard my Pleo say hello until I bought a second one :o

  Lol  it says hello?
   What   in a  sort  in a  recognisable human way? Or more like how  your pet dog might say  hello if that makes sense  which it probably doesn’t but hopefully someone   will   understand what I’m trying to get at.

IMR, Angel never said hello either until Dinomite joined the family.  Dinomite was the first time I had heard a Pleo say hello and then Angel said it about a few weeks later.

More like a muffled 'weewoo' sound. They say it to each other quite a bit. :)
IMR is right, and you get more sounds with the upgrades. However when I got the second upgrade Macon started making a certain sound less than before. I did manage to get a video of it, and it was on my plog, but now it's in the archives on pleoworld. XD

When they say hello, you know it's a hello! The first thing Pennie said to Little Orphan Annie, my latest orphaned pleo, was "hello". She then went over and have LOA a little shove and said hello again. Missed a cute video of the two! :(

 Awww. See what you mean.
  He’s so sweet.
  See that vid  at the front of the innvo labs sight? The  one  that shows pleo and has the sound files played over the top?  Does he  sound roughly like that in real life? Or  is it not as good quality?
       From what I can  gather he sounds quite like  it  but  I just wanted your opinions if that’s OK.
 I   especially like that part   in the vid of him munching.

They do have very good sound quality, they don't constantly moan and groan and what not like the demo on the Pleo world site though, but they do make a fair amount of noise :)

I think your Pleos were trying to reenact the Mahnahmahnah song with that horrible screeching sound after the ditty, IMR. ^^;

My 2c: They have a lovely repertoire of noises, all very clear and unique from one another. Even if there are a few I have no idea what they are.
