Post by: tyhaydad on October 04, 2009, 08:46:43 AM
I want to know if I need to upgrade the software to a current version, but I don't see how to know which software he has! Can someone please help?

Hi tyhaydad,  until all the experts on here get to help you I can only offer what happened in my case.  My Pleo which one I received in March 2009 and the other about 1 month ago both have l.l already installed.
Many of the last batch of Pleos made were shipped with LifeOS 1.1 installed.

upgrading fixes bugs and makes pleo more "happy"

its like updating a pc you add new "features" and fix the bugs.

If you son is young he won't notice a change really

there are two ways to figure out which version/release you have:

1)  try to rub Pleo's back and chin at the same time, if it was 1.1 software, then he will try to sit, which is a new (function) introduced with the 1.1 update!

2)  try to download the 1.1 update (either from this forum or from pleoworld.com) and during the upgrade procedure it would tell you what is you current version.

I hope this would answer your question.
