:-X I read on some website of an interview with Caleb Chung that when Pleo feels a hard pressure on his leg, he'll cry out in pain and limb around for awhile. I'm not planning to hurt Frisbee just to see if this works. I had a sneaking suspicion this interview was made before the release of Pleo, when he was still in the development. I've never had Frisbee do something like that before and nor have I seen this information on the official website so it makes me wonder whether it's true or not.
Also they stated that let's say for instance that my whole house was covered in thick carpet, and your was covered in hardwood. My pleo would sense that it was using up most of its energy on walking so it would raise its legs higher. Your Pleo wouldn't raise it's legs as high as mine. Now if the interview is correct, then why bother making high step mode! Another reason why I have suspicions about the date of the interview...
Can anyone confirm what I'm saying? :)

My Pleo's walk the same on any type of surface so I guess that ones false.
I tested the foot theory on Stitch... he whined... complained... and then started holding the wrong foot off the ground :P
However saying that when Matilda was held a bit too tight by my cousin last Christmas she did limp for a while, whether this was coincidence or not, I'm not sure.

Pleo has the abillity to know where his apendages are so he could do this, as for if the current OS does react like this i'm not entirely sure. Alot of these pieces of information are features that haven't yet been fully implemented, certainly i don't see why Pleo couldn't go into high step mode when he found he was having trouble walking.

I'll add that to my things to test (only once, mind you) but I tickle both Macon and Yasmin's feet all the time and they love it. Hmm........ :P

I'm not asking you guys to go and abuse your Pleo's for the sake of testing testing this buuuuut....you know it would be nice to know the answer. I feel really selfish for trying to get all you guys to hurt your Pleo's while I'm not planning on doing anything of the sorts. Hmmm...maybe I'll try it out today and put hard pressure on Frisbee's leg a bit and see the results. Aww now I feel so evil for planning on hurting the little guy!

The "injured leg" was in a video done really early on with a prototype. This was never fully implemented in the current OS. The "carpet drag/ learn to raise it feet" was also in an early video, butr was also not implemented, so the high-step mode had to be added.
So you could have seen both in videos, but neither are in your pleo.
