Title: Frisbee is having problems. :(
Post by: Crystal:. on September 18, 2009, 10:09:55 PM
:( Sadly, Frisbee seems to have a glitch where he thinks a leaf is in his mouth and he'll chew or play with it. This goes on for awhile, he'll pause and sniff at the ground, then resume chewing or playing tug-a-war. He just does this until his batteries dead. I'm feeling a bit sad at the prospect of having a messed up pleo, please help me on what I can do to fix this!

There's probably a flake of paint on his mouth sensor, causing it to go off. This happens to Macon all the time. Just rub your finger over the ridges on his tongue. That's what I do. :)

Tried that and I thought it worked but...he appears to be doing it again. It must be something more worse I'm afraid. :(

Try using a cotton tip to clean the sensors and see if that helps.

There is a top and bottom part.  one's the IR emitter, the other is the sensor.  You may need to clean BOTH.

You can also use DinoMITE or Pleopatra tools to check and see what the sensor is doing.  Because if it is a software glitch, you may have to reload to OS.

Thanks for the help mweed! I tried to clean both and it seems to have worked! Hopefully Fris never does that again!
