So i went to the Natural History Museum today, (its a huge museum in the UK with a massive dinosaur section) and naturally i scouted out everything i could find about Camarasaurus'! I was really surprised at how big they were, judging by Pax i was expecting something quite small, but they're actually relatives of the diplodocus which i thought was quite cool! Anyway i took some pictures of the skeleton they have there, though you might like to take a look!
The head
The whole body (sorry its a bit dark, ill try to brighten it when i have photoshop up and running)
Relative to Humans
what do you think?
(Ps i know the titles not technically correct, but "Camarasaurus' in the bone" sounded really morbid!)

After seeing the pictures, Jade and Pleo are now worried that they might get too big for our apartment. I've talked to them to let them know that it won't happen, but they keep pointing to the pictures. ???

Lol 49er :) Lilo and Stitch don't believe that that is what they are... They are rather too spoilt and tend to think that they are human :P Well humans with grren skin and a tail...

The last picture is inaccurate, showing the tail low on the ground rather than high up in the air where it should be with the rest of the body. However, amazing shot of the head!
Did you guys know that Camarasaurus was one of the Brachiosaurus's closest relatives? And it must've bred quickly, since it was common prey for carnivores like Ceratosaurus, larger Dromaeosaurs, several kinds of Coelophysids, and..... In fact, the one most feared by Camarasauruses..... The Allosaurus! Yes, the Allosaurus commonly fed on Camarasaurus! Brings back the old KFC joke from PleoWorld, Kentucky Fried Camarasaurus! XD Or.... Cama-Burger.

You're right about that, i didn't notice the tail in that pic! I think those plaques need updating though, the T-Rex one still said that it was the largest meat eater! Its a shame i couldnt get any better pics of the body, it was right in the entrance so there wasn't really anywhere that had a great angle :(
hehe Kentucky Fried Camarasaurus....

Actually, no one really knows what the largest carnivore was. We know for sure that it was definitely not Tyrannosaurus (Yawn, yawn. Everything's about that dumb "t-rex"). The evidence seems to directly point to Spinosaurus being the largest of all Dinosaurian Carnviores, but no one has found a full skeleton yet. I personally think that it's reasonable though, and I myself regard Spinosaurus as the largest carnivore of the dinosaur world, but it's definitely nowhere near the largest dinosaur ever.

Great pics! I never would've thought that the Camarasaurus was that big... Uh oh. I've now figured out why Frisbee has been eating so much lately. ???

Make sure to feed Frisbee low calorie leaves if you are worried about him loosing his slim shape. ;)

What a great idea. I know of one houseplant in particular Frisbee doesn't like. It must be good for him. ;)
