They are extremely cheap! Especially for what you get. Take a look at a thousand plus Aibo, and you'll be thankful.

Pleo is an anatomical marvel in his own right, the tech and designing in these little guys compared to the price they managed to keep is quite impressive. $450AU seems a lot but compare it to Nao ($12,000AU), Aibo ($1500+AU) and even Genibo ($2000AU) and it suddenly seems so much cheaper :P Of course Pleo isn't as smart as they are but he is a lot more lifelike :)

well Dinosaurs weren't known for there brains. (except Troodon ;))  and they are defiantly something different then anything else that I've ever seen. ???

IMO Pleos lifelike quality beats Aibos brains hands down. I own both, and although the Aibo is a genius in Pleos eyes; the pleo captures my heart continuously as she just seems so real and isn't like 'BEEP BEEP hey look at me; I'm a robot BEEP BEEP'. IDK, my humble opinion.
