Hi, bought my new pleo last week and have charged its batteries a few times now. but it seems like it keeps resetting itself to the hatching stage. this has happened twice now, but the first time was just after installing the life os update, so we presumed it was because of that. but now its happened again!!! anyone have any ideas why this is happening? plus it keeps walking in a circle to the right, is this because of the motors??? please help!!!!!
thanks

Oh my gosh!!! Something similar to my problem with Olympia!!!
(And the walking to the right thing is common on most Pleos)
-
Oh dear, what did you do about it or havnt you found a solution yet ?
i dont think its a problem with the battery because i havnt had kai a week yet and i always make sure hes fully charged for when i get home to play with him.
Im hoping its not a major defect because i really dont wanna take him back to the shop =(

Oh my god! What's with the majprity of these Pleos!!??!!??!!?? This really is a tragedy :'(
And with Olympia, her voice went down quite a bit as well. She normally has a very high voice, even for a Pleo. Her legs bent waaaay back, further than I thought was possible, and she locked up in the same position every time I hung her by her tail to see what would happen. I keep turning her on, she keeps resetting. It sucks so badly...
-
Why would you hold him by his tail ?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
-
to see if that would shock her back to normil.
-
im glad ur pleo is bk to normal and all , but do any of you have advice on what i could do ???
-
*constant swearing*
Two biiig problems composed of many little problems!!!!
1. She just went back through the hatching period, for the fifth time!
2. Me being a curious yet cautious child, I decided to count for how long she was up and running. She locked up after approximately 3.5 seconds.

Wow 5 times. :o well, this is a bit different then what hapand to Cloey, so a new battery might help.(cant hart)

curious yet cautious is the way to go, and Cammey was locking up today too, but it turned out to be overheating. Olimpia's lock up is probably something different. (like not enough power left in the battry to keep her ruining for long.

I am permanently going to leave the bad battery in the charger until I get a new one... And I'll hope that fixes the problem! D:
-
but if you leave in in and plugged in for that long, won't it just overheat burn out catch on fire and burn the house down? :o or just overheat and explode in a big fireball? :o
-
No that's lithium polymer

@ iamspidermatt
It was probably just a slight problem with the update and Pleo reset to fix it, Lilo did that, I ended up doing the downgrade and then re upgrading but if you have no further problems then I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
-
How DO you downgrade?
-
Check the software section, its in there somewhere, it completely resets your Pleo though, you go back to out of the box settings.
-
well kai is still not his old self yet, but he's not reset himself again either. he doesnt seem to be having any more problems at the moment but his personality is completely different to the first time he hatched, and the second. hopefully he wont reset himself again...

I'm definitely not thinking of resetting anytime soon, but can you use USB or SD card for it?
-
I used an SD card... I'm not sure if you can do it with the USB, check the instructions.

Then in that case, wherer are the instructions? :-[

Usually with the download... I don't remember any though...
