It says that whenever I post something right after another it says that I have to wait 60 seconds before posting another thing. Is this just me?

Yes it gets me really PO'ed and I wish they could change it down to 25 seconds or something like that but I bet nobody thinks it's reasonable...... Just me again, in my own little world. *headdesk*

I know

Its to stop people from spamming. It is irritating at times but it is there for a good reason, just learn to type a little slower ;)
-
Oh, I thought it was an error.
-
No it is normal, I get caught out all the time :P I have a timer on my desk now to set when I send a post so I know when I can send the next one lol.
-
Really?!?! I need to try that...

I stare at the computer clock for a little while until it changes, and then I wait even longer. XD

That;s what Ill do from now on.

It used to be 120 seconds, but we dropped it to 60 because that seemed a little excessive. But on the other hand, it takes most people more than 60 seconds to click to another thread and read the new posts, and type in a response. So most people are never aware . . .
PleoWorld used to also have a minimum number of characters required for each post (to stop the "Me to!" type posts).

Is that possible on here? It's a good idea :)

I only type/read so fast from lots of practice and of course I'm on here twice daily (at least) so I tend to keep up with the gossip pretty well ;)
-
Oh, yeah i got in trouble from doing that...

I don't think there should be a minimum amout of characters. Pleoworld had a lot more spammers than this site does, I don't think it's nessecary.
I don't think the 60 second thing is neccesary either, it drives me nuts. XD *Headdesks next to Allo*

Well anyways, I'm a very fast reader and typer. It makes me go reeeeaaaally mad at the system, and it's not like anyone would try to double-post with 30 seconds, right?
-
Its really no big deal, dig out your old board games and see if you have a timer somewhere that you can set :) Or just keep an eye on your computers clock, its really quite simple :)

Hasn't the 60 second 'time-out' already been adressed elsewhere? I usually open multiple tabs of new posts and switch in between. Reading a new one before typing on the next. I don't usually have too bad a problem. I do think there needs to be limitations on some peoples postings which have just gone too far. I think there should be limitations of the 'yeah's & the 'i know's & the 'ME TOO's!!
