Title: Clumbsy
Post by: Burberry016 on July 27, 2009, 09:22:22 PM
I just made anew rule for Maxwell.  He's not allowed on elevated surfaces.  Whenever he walks he can't detect if he'll fall or not.  Same with objects.  He'll runn into them and keep on going untill he breaks his neck (well, i turn him befor that happens;)).  Any ideas?

Make sure there is enough light, I mean heaps of light, Pleo doesn't function well in dim areas. Also if Max can see space above, or to the side of an object he may try to push it :P (Apparently no one told our little friends that they aren't as strong as their mummy yet :P)

Pleo raises and lowers his head while walking. this is how it determines if there's a drop or object.(this is done through IR)

Raise head :check for object in front

Lower head: check for drop or object below

but pleo isn't "looking" in between these 2 actions. so its very easy for Pleo to miss an object or drop. particularly if in high step mode.

good lighting helps. also some materials might be hard for pleo to "see" light black cloth.
