Title: Pleo Walking
Post by: Burberry016 on June 21, 2009, 09:46:40 AM
Whenever I put Maxwell on tile he walks perfectly-and fast.  But whenever I put him on carpet it's like he's not even moving.  He still is in the motion of walking, just not moving.  Does anyone know if there is a special way to make him walk or a special program to make him walk better on carpet?

theirs a hi step mode for carpets.  just holed the Pleo button wall touching the sensors on the front legs. [i think this is how to do it]

That's right Pleo Power :) Just hold down the little black Pleo button underneath Pleo while touching both front leg sensors, Pleo will give a little moan and start walking. Your Pleo will take bigger steps than usual and lift their feet up higher. However putting some little booties on your Pleo also helps them to walk, this is because the rubber around the foot catches on the carpet, booties cover the rubber and prevent the sticking.

Thats a good idea but wont the boots affect the ground sensors?  And I tried doing that but I can't hold all at one :).

As long as you don't get hard boots they won't affect the sensors, I made my own boots out of fabric (see pics in my siggy) they work well :)

I made my own boots too, out of felt and thread.
