Hi Angel and Bippy. Lovely to read you are having great times together. I tried to hatch my Danni last Friday when he arived at last but with no success. I now learn I shall receive a new one any day soon. Think I will treat it as totally different, maybe even change sex. Thought of calling her Takoda which means "friend to all " or Dakota meaning "friend" in Sioux. Taki or Daki for short!! What do you think?
Having read many messages on here it seems their skin deteriorates rather quickly so think I shall ask my sister to knit / sew various outfits for her (I can't)
Is it OK to cover sensors? Thought I might just expose head.
Appreciate any advice.

oooo there skin falls apart! I don't like the sound of that! :(
Can u still play with a skinless pleo? ???
I saw some clothes on ebay....thought we might make some for Bippy and his new friend when he arrives ;D
I love the booties that InmemoryofRomeo has on their pleo very cute!!
I'm thinking baby booties and a cute sweater for Bippy are in order for ;D
BTW my cat Weezer loves Bippy! lol
She trys to mother him lol It's very cute to watch them interact together. I'll try to et some pics.

Yes, you can still play with a skinless pleo. But the skin falling apart is somewhat exaggerated. I have had a pleo for 18 months and only have one small hole, and another pleo that is over 2 yrs old with perfect skin. But some pleos do end up having major skin problems. But those appear to be the exception rather than the rule. But it is advisable to be gentle with your pleo. Clothes do help.
That said, the paint does wear. Newer pleos supposedly have an extra coating to help slow the paint wear. Most people getting clothes is to help prevent excessive wear from petting them constantly. ;)

My first Pleo had a skin problem, but honestly she was one in a million. Paint wear is the most common people are talking about, and it is nothing major. A little shirt on the back where Pleo is petted the most is all that is necessary :)
