FROM JOHN Sosoka HIMSELF
Hi Eric,
Yes, it is true that Pleo has new owners. Jetta, the factory that manufactured Pleo, won the IP auction for Pleo. Jetta strongly believed in Pleo and they worked very hard to bring this complex product to market. They are committed to advancing consumer robotics in many forms and are a good home for Pleo.
I thank you for your support of Pleo as well. This is a very important step in the development of human/robot interaction.
Regards,
-John

Thank you, thank you, Jetta, in China! We knew Pleos were too cute not to be made anymore. Can't wait to hear more about you and our little dinos! :)

Great news! thanks Eric!!!! ;D
I hope they'll link the pleoroom foprum to the pw.com site, i think it'll be a good start to give an official home to our pleos ;)

yaaaay :)

The Pleoroom forum/site is sponsored by Pensonic, the Malaysian distributor. It's a shame the Jetta site is 2 years out of date.

Yay! That's wonderful news :)

Absolutely fantastic news!
I was hoping for news like this as I also just could not believe that Pleo would be gone and done for.
Exciting and I am curious when more news and updates will follow!

Are there going to be any changes to the Pleo? I wanna know if you're gonna still be able to program these Pleos.
