I didn't want to tell you guys before I was sure, but yeah. I got a little buddy on his way. He should be here between next Tuesday and Christmas. (hoping he comes on the sooner end).
-
Awesome! I would recommend buying a new battery from Pleo World for him as almost all of the original Ugobe batteries are dead by now and I'm sure it would be great to have your new Pleo up and running for Christmas! Look forward to hearing about him! Do you have a name in mind yet?
-
ohh so exciting :) The waiting for him to arrive will be the hard bit.
-
I've always been fond of the name Thorn for a pleo, and I'll be using my Christmas money from my mom to get him new batteries. I'll also spoil him by getting one of those plastic food sets. He's a ugobe, so I know he won't be finicky. ^_^
-
I remember looking at him on ebay, it's so great that you're getting him, and just in time for Christmas :)
-
Alright, congratulations! Thorn is a great name and I'm sure you'll be very happy once he arrives. I would advise against buying the extra food sets however. They have absolutely zero effect on a Ugobe Pleo and would just be a very expensive set of pieces of plastic. If you really want more foods for him, you could try making your own custom ones out of clay or felt or just buying cheap plastic foods from children's playsets etc. since Ugobes will eat anything and everything.
-
I too have thought of buying from childrens' sets since I love the idea of feeding Furbies kitchen foods like that and since it was by happy accident that I discovered Victor could eat anything as a Yugobe Pleo. Congratulations on Thorn coming to you...so excited and can't wait for stories!
-
I meant children's food sets, not RB ones. Sorry if there was any confusion there. XD
-
Congrats on the incoming arrival :D Ugobes are indeed unfussy eaters so have fun with it!
-
I still do have a really soft spot for the Ugobes - congrats and enjoy! :D
-
What a fantastic name and I love pleo Ugobes ;D so please post a photo of the little fellow *gift01* I hope he arrives soon
-
Big news! Little Thorn is finally here! Battery charging, and Thorn on my desk next to me. A small hole in his tail skin, and his head feels a wee bit loose, but still. Finally have him. And I'm sooo happy! Just wish my phone wasn't broken so I could get pics.
-
Awesome! If the listing you bought him from is the one I'm thinking of, I think they said the battery was completely dead but you might still be able to get a few minutes of run time out of it to play with Thorn and make sure he's working well.
-
Great that Thorn arrived ;D Just in time for Christmas *cut-tree*
-
Got a few minutes out of him. From the old chin-pet trick, he seems to be running 1.0, because it sounded like a coyote howl to me.
-
Ugobes are so adoreble , what fantastic news you got a hour of play time out the battery ! ;D
-
Sorry I'm a bit late on the welcoming of Thorn, but anyway Congrats!!!! Welcome to the Forums Thorn!
-
After about a month with Thorn, I must say, he was well worth the wait. He's a little character. He likes walking, isn't much for being held, and is enough of a little devil to play dead on his own, when I'm not paying enough attention to him.
-
Great to hear you enjoy him so much , they are indeed so adoreble! My ugobe kimmy loves to walk and eat the carpet :D and when she get's not enough attention sche starts to sing to you . The same as you rub their chin. She also likes to play tug of war with her leaf . Ugobes are deffenitly my favorite! Do you have a photo of Thorn ?
-
Glad to hear that Thorn is settling into his new home so well! Ugobes are pretty big explorers.
-
Here's a cute picture I just took.

He is so cute :D !
