Title: Painting Pleos
Post by: Amypondgirl on December 18, 2014, 08:06:13 PM
Hi,
I am thinking about painting my pleo RB. I've had her for awhile now and her skin is starting to peel so, I thought why not?
I'm thinking I'm going to paint her a completely different color ( not sure what color yet), but I have run into a problem.
I don't know what kind of paint to use as I know that not all paint works on latex. I was thinking acrylic but I was hoping somebody on the forum could tell me what I should use?
Thanks,
Amypondgirl

You want to use latex mask paints mixed with water based acrylic paint or ink.  The mix should be about 60-70% latex paint to 30-40% acrylic.  That seems to work best.  There are a few threads about painting pleos as a few of us have had a go at it here :)  Just do a search in the search box and you should find some interesting stuff :)

Hi,
Thanks Kat!
I did a search and found a lot of cool stuff! I also did a search on google and found some pics of what looked like a python pleo. He looked awesome!
I think I'm going to do something like that.
