Wow what a great present ! Pleo RB's are fantastic , but the Ugobe pleo is my favorite :-* If you get him please post some photo's!
-
Wow , a great present , our fingers are crossed ;D
-
I sure wil post photos and maybe a video or two, I have a cat collar for him with a little bell on it. oh and I was wondering...what kind of floors does Pleo work well on?
-
Pleo works best on hard smooth surfaces but if you have carpet he will still be ok. You may find he needs to wear socks if you have carpet floors if he has trouble walking. Socks can help stop his feet from catching and dragging on the carpet. They also protect his feet from dirt and scratching so are good for any surface he might want to walk on.

I personally am not much into the whole good luck fingers crossed thing but good luck anyway!
-
Thank you kat, that was helpful advice, thank you P:)

I've thought a bit about getting a Pleo Yugobe. What advantages does it have over AN RB? I heard they don't do as much and are more still.
-
They are as active as other Pleo but don't have voice recognition, temperature sensors, RFID readers etc, but they are adorably sweet and easier to care for than RB's.
-
@Echo
Actually, I'm pretty sure the Ugobes are more active than the RBs in general (some RBs seem very active while others rarely walk). My RB Chris is pretty active and wanders around a lot, but my Ugobe Sumio still walks off on his own more often than Chris does. However, I believe Sumio falls asleep if I leave him alone for a while whereas Chris seems to only go to sleep if the room is too dark or if it's past his bedtime/before his wake up time.

Ugobes ARE more easier to care for than RBs from what I've read, but I don't have one yet so WHAT do I know? P;D If you care for them right, you will be fine with EITHER one P;) but if YOU want MY opinion, Ugobes look more simple looking and are just PERFECT for a first-time Pleo owner P:D But it's YOUR choice though P:) Pleos are ALSO perfect for dinosaur fans and ALSO for people who can't have pets at all P:) but we hope that WHATEVER you decide, you will post pics of your little angel P0:)
