Title: tempting buy
Post by: eric on May 24, 2009, 06:11:44 AM
Would you rather a Pleo with skin or a Pleo without?

My Pleo sadly broke his neck ( i think it was a OS update) he also has flaked paint

So i thinking of selling him ( may try fix the neck before hand) but i'm wondering what people would want more ? skin or skinned ? LOL

I just ordered mine yesterday. why would an firmware update broke his neck? I saw it without skin, it looks better with skin!

I'm sorry to hear that your pleo broke it's neck, Eric. With the necks firmly wrapped, you may find that your pleo can function fine. The only thing is it won't be able to lift the neck as it did. The neck should be able to go side to side.
I'm sure that all of the very first prototypes were not covered with rubber. If you think you have the skill to fix the cable in your pleos neck you might try to carefully follow the seams when cutting so you can reattach the skin after in the same manner. It has been done before.
If you don't want to do any of this then you have to decide how much you would want to sell your pleo for, perhaps, so someone else can learn how to repair their necks.

DEFINITELY WITH SKIN!
They look like zombies without it, in my mind XD
