This afternoon I went to the museum and they just happen to have a really cool display of robotic dinosaurs. All with moving heads and tails and slight body wiggles :) There were at least 20 different dinosaurs and it was very cool! If I had known it was going to be this cool I would have taken a pleo along with me. It was pretty busy though so it might not have been the safest place for a pleo. Here is a video and a few pics. There are more in the gallery.

That looks so awesome, I wanna go :P
I wish Melbourne would revamp their Dino exibition, it hasn't changed in many years and it's very old school and boring :(

This is just a temporary visiting exhibition so maybe you guys will get it next :)

That does look pretty cool! :D

I've always wanted to go to a Museum with Dinosaurs! :). What a pity that I don't live nearer to one called DinĂ³polis that is located in Teruel, here in Spain. Hope that you had fun being there ;D

That's awesome!!! We got a dinosaur exhibition in hong kong and it ended a few days ago!!!
i wonder if they are the same thing!
The one in Hong Kong, I really wanted to go but then when I got there, people lined up like crazy!!! I cant afford to spend that much time just to line up...
so I missed out the exhibition
but I did take picture of a few dinosaurs outdoor which is of 1:1 ration! pretty cool!
I will post the pictures a bit later :)

Great exhibit Kat, ;D you were quite lucky to get to see it. Those are some great shots . I doubt if it would be comming here to the US, too expensive to move so many heavy exhibits. We have had a few of our own, The one I saw that was totally by chance, cause I knew nothing about it, was the actual skull and skeleton of the T REX named SUE, the most complete T Rex skeleton ever found and a female. They now know T REX females were quite a bit bigger then the males. ( probably true with other dinosaurs as well.) P:D
I did have my camera cause I was out of town on a neuro- consultation for my back, so because I was gone for a couple of days happened to have my camera with me.I did get some good shots of Sue and a few other exhibits but nothing as nice as yours. It was neat though to see an actual famous find in dinosaurs. I even bought my grandson a gift shop t-shirt and hat that had the SUE logo on it which was very nice.
I think I would be wary of bringing a little pleo to take pictures with too, too many people to take a chance of stepping on poor pleo! :(

Lucky duck ;). Too bad it isn't coming to other countries. For those of you in North America, Walking With Dinosaurs is probably just as good, although I've never been to kat's fancy museum to compare :P. oh, and by Walking With Dinosaurs, I'm talking about the one with the animatronics, not the documentary series or kids' movie.

Yeah walking with dinosaurs was incredible!

*Sigh* I've only been in the presence of one animatronic dinosaur. I think he was a Stegosaurus if I remember correctly. You could control him with this joystick button type thinggy. There was a really long wooden barrier in front of him so I didn't actually get to touch him. I did make him roar and pretend to eat some leaves though.
