Called Boomer. Learned about this yesterday. Several news articles on it from the Toy Fair 2014 last Sunday. Doesn't have an official web site yet I don't think. It's a green, wheels-for-feet Tyrannosaurus Rex. It can move around fairly quickly. lol It's got an Autonomous mode. It can track and follow motion via the sensors in its nose. It followed the owner's fingers readily enough. It's eyes change various colors to show its moods. Green and pink to show when it's happy and blue and bright blue means excitement. Yellow eye color means cautious and red for anger. 2 displayed body colors were green and blue. It's reported that it can dance. Gonna be released some time around August it was said in a video. Some videos on it from You Tube. Around 20 minutes of play for its rechargeable battery. Gonna be priced at $99.
Talon you'll be happy. Videos have audio of the dino. lol

Awful, awful battery life, but they do look pretty cool, for the price I'd buy one... or two ;)
-
Looks cool! But I think the Pleo looks cuter P:-* But it's cool to see such a robot.
-
Just think, it can follow, and it's relatively fast . . . this one can chase AJ around the house! :dino-chase:
-
Yay! Actual audeo! Well, it seems cute but just from that video it looked a little limited. At least Zoomer had a few tricks under his wheeled paw. But I'll be fair. I think this one was a prototype if I heard correctly. We'll see what the rest of the year holds for Boomer.

Hehe, AJ will be so thrilled... :-X
-
Yes, Talon, it's a prototype. And who's AJ Grumpy? A room mate of yours?
-
This is AJ (although he's not mine, a sharp eye can identify the owner):

Cool video! Its autonomous mode seems pretty repetitive, so I don't think I'd have much interest in actually buying one, but its movements are really well done. I love how it's able to balance on only two wheels!

I've been waiting for a updated model of Zoomer but if they have not improved the battery life i will be disappointed .
-
oh cute definitely will get this…its movement is smooth and fast mimicking the real one
-
Just recently bought 1 of these for my son's birthday next week he and his sister enjoyed Zoomer the robot dog so I know he going to love Zoomer the dino boomer :-)
-
Cool !
-
It's ok.

I don't know. The twenty-minute battery life seems a little short for me considering the price tag. I hope your son will have fun with his new friend.
