This year, enjoy a treat for the whole family with a sprawling exhibition of life-sized dinosaurs!
A Jurassic Park-esque exhibition is being held in Post Rotterdam, a beautiful former post office building on Rotterdam's iconic Coolsingel. Dozens of life-like models are designed to give an impression of what earth was like back in the age of dinosaurs - 235 million years ago!
The voormalig postkantoor play home to dozens of these pre-historic monsters, who dominated the earth, sky and sea throughout the Mesozoic era.
It will also offer a scientific insight into this time, courtesy of recent paleontological findings. The exhibition will officially kick off with a special opening party on February 6.

Thanks for bringing this up. Looks like I'll be going. ;D
-
That looks great! Maybe I'll be going too.

If any of you do end up going then take a pleo along with you if you can and get some photos :) we would all love to hear about how much fun you had there adn see the exciting things you and your pleos get up to :) If you are really well organised you could all arrange to go on the same day and meet up. It is always fun to meet other forum members and their pleos and see what happens when a bunch of pleos get together. :val-love3:

Last Saturday we went to the exhibition in Rotterdam.
My first impression is that it is very expensive for such a small exhibition. There are four rooms. 2 Cinema halls and one dino information hall. In the first room you could watch a 3D dinosaur movie. This was fun, though the quality is not very high. Then came a large hall with moving dinosaurs. This was very fun. For small children sometimes scary and that is why you often hear wails and screams. After this hall there is a information hall. However, I saw no exciting new information. Just the basics. They did have a fun skeleton.... :P
They had a small shop with some tshirts, books and five different plush. So that was a bit disappointing ...
We visited on a busy day. That will play a role in my negative review.
Maybe I'll stop by in the summer on a calm day.

On the bike then!
Guy in conversation with a triceratops:
There are also small dinos:
The Spinosaurus does have big teeth....:
Will a Pleo taste good?:
Mister T-Rex was also present ...:
Guy thought for a moment to take a flight, but the dinosaurs flew too high ...:
It was super busy so it did not work out so well to make quiet Pleo pictures...:
You could also watch dino movies. Including a 3D movie. Not super quality, but still ...:
Peekaboo...:

Even though it was small and not quite what you may have been expecting It still looks pretty cool :) Did you get any comments or queries about your pleo?
-
I've only been three times fifteen minutes in, but it was nice, but too expensive.
Nobody asked about my Pleo, though there was a little girl who almost run off with Guy. :P
-
Great pictures! ;D Looks good. Pity that the exhibition small is.
-
Did Guy need therapy after that Spinosaur pic :P It looks like a fun place to visit, I guess the cost is so high becuase the Dino's would have cost a lot :(
-
It does look like fun. I loved the Spinosaur pic! ;D
-
Guy is indeed what upset. But will probably get over it. :p
The dinosaurs will indeed cost a lot because they also move and make sounds ...
-
It will be an expensive exhibition. Maybe I will take a look, but I don't know. I will see.
I'm happy Guy is recovering :) ;)

I hope they do a global tour :)
