Title: Development
Post by: Bluewizard on November 03, 2013, 08:44:25 PM
Hello All,
I am thinking of getting a Pleo as a pseudo pet and it looks like there is potential as a development platform to play with robotics.

I was wondering how much development people have done with their Pleo?

I have downloaded the PDK but it appears its windows.  I have a Mac has anyone done any work on the mac not in a VM or bootcamp?

I am fact finding prior to a christmas Pleo RB Blue entering my house.  Which still might happen as they look neat.

By chance is anyone else in the Washington, DC metro area?

Thanks
-Ryan

VM or bootcamp does the trick, but some of it is mac friendly, just not the compiler. All the people who started trying to program Pleo have disappeared :( So not a lot has been achieved beyond the skits from the original Pleo's.

Good to know.  Thank you for the info.

The only set of build tools for the Ugobe Pleo's that work 100% correctly are the Windows ones. The Innovo tools for the Pleo rbs are Windows only so either way you'll need a way to run the Windows tools.
