hi
thanks to the replies i got on my last post, :) i've decided to order a Pleo from argos, but i have no idea how to download stuff, etc. To be honest, i'm worried about messing him up.
Are there any do's and don'ts that anyone could advise me about? or is there a 'pleos for dummies' info page i could look at? ::)

Good choice, have you got him/her yet?
To be honest snowy as long as you are not using programs like dinomite and such, you should be fine. However i would recommend waiting till pleo is fully run down and charged again before trying any of the addition programmes on him, this was also the advice ugobe gave. and dont forget to switch him off before you put any sd cards in him. Apart from that there isnt a huge amount that you could go wrong with.
In terms of software programme like dinomite i would exercise a lot of caution before using these programmes, if your not sure what you are doing you could potentially damage pleo's software and he may not run. I would get used to the ugobe software updates before moving on to dinomite. :)

Yes, switch him/her off before inserting the SD card, and switch him/her off before removing the SD card.

Allow a full battery charge before updating to life OS 1.1 unless you update before you turn the little guy/girl on for the first time.
As 49er said ALWAYS make sure Pleo is turned off before removing or inserting an SD card.
Make sure the battery is securely in place when you charge it, you should hear two clicks when you push the battery into the cradle.
Aside from that just be careful not to drop the little guy/girl and make sure he/she stays out of trouble ;)
