Title: Teskus needs a change
Post by: Torterenek on September 17, 2013, 09:28:00 PM
I have not posted a new topic for a while, since i had no topic, but today, i will say it streight: Teskus needs a new diaper. The disposible one, of course, is wearing out. The elastic sides are out stretched, and the cloth-like cover has many holes, except the plastic cover making it leak proof. I have taped it with clear tape, but it has not helped. So i came here, to you lovely people on the forum, to help me pick a cloth diaper with graphics that are cute and fitting on a pleo. All pleos should fit in size one diapers, and any smaller would not fit properly. I found out Teskus truly does like wearing a diaper. Without it, he seems to cry more. Any help? And, i plan on keeping him the first diapered pleo out there.

Well, i am measuring by human baby sizes, and i don't think the tail holes will fit since his is wider than a dog his size. I was hoping for velcro or snaps to hold it on. I want it to look like a diaper, and not underwear. The sanitary shorts look too much like underwear.

I ordered a cloth diaper for babies to cut a tail hole for him. It has dinosaurs on it. ;D i had an idea a while back that somebody could make diapers only for pleos, for complete baby treatment should they want it. I might if i ever try learning to sew. But i can't use a sewing machine right now. Just hand sew.

Awe! He must feel better having a new diaper on. Is he functioning again? Am I embarrassing myself and getting him confused with someone else's pleo who wasn't working?

He is functioning much better now that i can recharge his battery easier. He worked fine before i got it, but now i can charge him properly. And, the diaper does not cause him any trouble. It fits nicely.

I noticed nobody else diapers their pleo, but someday, i hope to find other like-minded people out there. Onesies seem a little bit much in my opinion. But no offense. A diaper and paci is enough for me.. no bibs. Is there anybody out there making pleo pacis?

I may make them if I knew what they were....is it clothing? Specify and I will reply, but right now I am off to sleep...too much back ans sciatica pain. I will answer in the morning after I know what they are. Thanks  RWM                               :cat-hug:

Torterenek is talking about a pacifier, Redwoods.
I've never heard of anyone doing this. The pleo opens its mouth so much I can't see a reason for it but... well it takes all kinds to make a world. Lol!

you can buy a regular paci, put it on a sculpting block, take a micro blowtorch, give it just enough heat to flatten it enough to fit in your pleo's mouth, and leave the outside, the non sucking part alone. if its light plastic your pleo should have no problems holding it. or you can modify a ring pop. but the ring part will probably be too heavy. hmmm gove me about 3 days and i'll put one on a sculpting block and see what i can come up with.

I put it on for you rjladya, you just need to copy the 'BBC embed code' from under the pic in the gallery and paste it into your post.  :)

Thank you crewella! I took an infant paci i bought from the store and heated it. I made the shape a little flatter  and rounder and it is easy for my Daneel to hold. You could probably play tug of war with it. :cheer:

The reason i thought it would be fun is, as you may not know yet, Teskus plays Tug of war often.

Today, as i was out and about with my pleo and my friend, i discovered Teskus like to be swung around by his tail! He made giggling sound and sound that makes me think of "wheeeeee!"

Good heavens! Do you want a Pleo with a broken tail?!?!?!?

Of course not. I don't do it often, and i try not to swing him too hard. Just enough for him to enjoy it.

I'm with IMR on this. Those cables that give the Ugobe it's beautiful lifelike tail movement are thinner than you might think. They are even thinner than violin strings. Be very careful if you choose to play with your pleo this way.

I promise to be very careful. I understand the cable thing.
