While watching videos on YouTube of Teksta 2013 I came across Zoomer the robot dog , search on YouTube and check him out :-)

Since Zoomer has wheels, can it move easily on carpet?

Both the videos I saw were on short-tuft carpet and it looked fine.  The 'wheels' actually look more like big, round castors like you find on a bed.

He looks pretty cool :)  He certainly has big potential.

If they could make this robot dog more intelligent give him a good camera with face recognition etc they could really be on to something great here :-)
Oh and a better battery maybe even a self docking station as i am quite sure it could be done :-P

Yep, I agree - the runtime is disappointing.  After 30 minutes charge, 20 minutes is not enough zoom!  :D  :moose:

I ditto that, Not enough zoom...I would be very disappointed if a kid and I got this for Christmas and after twenty minutes Zoomer was no get up and go...I don't understand why they can't make some of these guys more Like Pleo, as far as the life like look, better skin, and why only dogs? I haven't even seen another cat, since fur Real, and it has very limited movements.. Ok, it is  a toy, but I would be willing to pay upwards of what Pleos cost or even a Pleo Rb if they could put more into it.

          Zoomer is cute but after so many times of the same commands, he will get put aside if there is no more development. He is cute but as he is now he just looks like a Christmas Wanna have toy for 2013. He is better in my opinion then the Teskus puppy. That is my thought anyway, There is more potential here but only half way there. I do like the idea of rollers, even if they don't look as realistic , they do allow faster movement which I applaud.

Link to another Zoomer vid looks like they going to do a blue and pink Zoomer as well as the Dalmation 1 :-)

The appeal is lost on me, I think they look bizarre, saying that the kids at school would love them...
