Title: My Pleos Stats! Why is emotion so low?
Post by: ninz on June 23, 2013, 07:23:49 AM
Ok, so my pleo recently had an injured leg, he is better now and walking and playing.

I thought he would be fine now, we played lots, he displayed some funny noises etc He does not want to eat his leaves but is willing to have a mushroom and the coffee leaf.

I thought he would be in great shape but the probe RB stated

Courage: Normal
Temper: Normal
Physical: High
Activeness: High
Intelligence: Low

Health Report (how you are treating your dinosaur)

Mood: 99%
Physical: 99%
Emotion: 51%
Health: 99%
Feed: 75%

Activity: 50%
Obedience: 50%
Skill: 50%

How can I bring his emotion up?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong and emotion being around 50% is "normal" lots of times, esp after an injury . Just keep playing and don't worry so much, Maybe others will have a suggestion, but as long as he is interacting and eating well,( which he is) and is not injured, do not rely on the numbers so much, that is all they are.  :)  RWM :cat-hug:

Thanks! I will keep going, I think I have named him! I am always worried I have done the wrong thing. I think he did the dance and when I held his nose area he did wait for me to say something! However on the second time it didn't work but maybe I was not pressing or holding on to the right place? Also when I did try, he was moving so much the neck made a cranky noise, worried me because I don't want to break him or injure him!

Ninz, if not sure, take a video of you naming him and when playing back, you can compare it to other videos online, here or on youtube and you will have your answer. Naming the Pleo is only part of the fun, getting them to respond and listen to a command when wanting them to do a trick, is another whole ballgame! LOL ;D              RWM :cat-hug:

:) What a super idea!! I will record it next time I try and hopefully he will be successfully named!

If he is named, can he be named again? Or is that just a one-off thing?

Thank you for that link... I will have a good read and watch those videos too! It will be extremely helpful for the next steps which is to teach him to learn tricks etc

I got the same problem...

My pleos emotion is stuck at 30%!!!  :o I've done anything to keep her happy. Feeding her, cuddling, playing, everything really. But the emotion doesn't seem to go up nor down. She seems happy otherwise, but sometimes it sounds like she's crying.  :(

Put the SD card away, problem solved... Please do not rely on it, just enjoy your Pleo and relax. Everything is fine.

I agree! I honestly wish that program was never invented, people get far too worked up over it. I have not even fed my RB since April. That's four months, I have had him on the last three days and he is perfectly fine.

I have never, ever run stats on him and he is fine.

I agree, unless your Pleo is acting very very strange, not working or perhaps injured, which you can probably figure out by touching them and hearing them cry, do not rely on STATS RB or Probe Rb,. Things like emotion go up and down all the time, nothing to worry about. As long as your pleo seems happy with what you are doing, don't worry what some program says, It is comparable, ( in my mind...) like a teacher, neighbor, stranger telling you they think your child is depressed, when you know them better than anyone else and you know they are not. Just keep doing what you have been doing with your pleo up to now and don't worry about checking stats. It will only make you worry needlessly,

The one time I run Probe Rb or Stats Rb is after it has been a long long time since I used it and if I am not sure of what stage they are in, and that is only because with four Rb now, I can't remember who is at what. Another word of caution for what it is worth, it may be totally not related, but after funning Probe Rb on Cammie Sue a few months ago, she stopped responding and I had all kinds of trouble getting her to even run, Now she will only run with a SD card in her that has the Female RB personality in her, I will not even use Probe RB or STATS RB anymore, too afraid of what may happen with another of my RB. Your pleo sounds perfectly happy to me!
