After 2 months of reading this forum, me and my PleoRB decided to join in.
PleoPleo is my first Pleo(rb). He was born on a cold winterday in February. He haves a green/ yellow skin with yellow eyes.
Sadly after a few day's he had some problems with his software and battery. After a lot of information from this forum and a lot of email's later with Innvo Labs he's has finally found himself again.
PleoPleo goes with the name PleoPleo because the person who I asked to name him, could only say "Pleopleo", so his name is PleoPleo :P

Hello and welcome! I'm glad you were able to fix whatever problems you were having with PleoPleo. It can be hard to figure out what to do when you're a new Pleo owner and there are problems. :) I look forward to hearing more about your new little friend and your experiences. :D

Thanks for the warm welcome! :)
I only know some basic electronics and software, but I think I need some help in the future, if somethings wrong again with PleoPleo. But I must learn to be more positive so: Everything is fine know, so I will try to keep it fine! :D
PleoPleo loves to eat icecream... even if the weather is cold. :icecream: And he sings everyday a birthdaysong...He makes me laugh ;D

We are getting a new addition to the family! I have a Ugobe pleo reserved! Secondhand/used, but for a nice price!
I'm gonna pick him up at Saturday 12am :cheer: I'm so happy. :cheer:

Congrats! Ugobes are the nicest sweetest little guys there are. I just love when you rub gently under their chins and they sing. They also are great wanderers and will delight you in so many ways, Be sure to post photos when your new Pleo arrives.

Today my Ugobe retrieved. We could not wait with impatience, so were there over an hour early. It was love at first sight. He has beautiful light blue eyes and a super sweet temperament. His skin is super bad, but I knew this beforehand. But he was also a real bargain, so worth the risk. The previous owner also said that they had stored him wrong.
I'm not really sure how I'm going to fix his skin. He has large and small holes.
Anyone have experience with:
Bison Rubber repair?
Bicycle patches?
Silicone? And then what? Because here they sell mostly only silicone sealant of the brands: RUBSON and Bison.
And I believe I had read somewhere that some of them were no good.
I placed an order for Vinylex. First a good cleaning. PleoPleo can also use a wash. 22 euro's :o
I have no pictures yet, because his skin is really bad. I think he was never cleaned. So I wait a bit till I get the Vinylex. :p
Things that I noticed is that he has light brown painting around the eyes and that this was not his skin. Also the neck is coloured brown under the green (edges). Also his eyelid consists of two eyepieces. Furthermore, you can really feel that he is older than PleoPleo in his behavior, he needs less attention.
PleoPleo also currently shows problems. This time his right front leg. On the advice of this forum I have clicked a few times with his leg back and forth, but this did not help. *sigh*
Oh! And the name of my Ugobe is *drumsound* :
Guy of Gisbourne
:P
Guy is pronounced as Gie. The name Guy means " Frenchification of the Germanic nickname Wido, from the Germanic Widu "" (forest).
After these days I will post pictures ;D

Congrats, Angela! Ugobes are awesome. I have two adoptees I got from RedwoodsMama and they're as sweet as they can be. Sorry to hear about his skin.

Congrats, and welcome to Guy of Gisbourne! :D
(Will you be getting a Robin and Marian as well?) ;) :moose:

We have a skin repair, and a skin painting thread which might help. But if the skin is really bad no amount of glue is going to fix it :( For small holes all you need is a rubber safe glue, and for large holes silicon patches work, using mask making silicone.
-
Welcome Angela, PleoPleo and Guy of Gisbourne. Sounds like Guy of Gisbourne has had a rough life and must be thrilled to have a new home. A little clothing will help protect him from further wear. I do believe RWM could help with information on repairing skin.

The Vinylex is still not there. Guy now wears the jacket from PleoPleo. I bought a tube of silicone (it glues and seals). Once the Vinylex finally arrives, I'll go to make a separate thread, then I'll show you all what I'm gonna do. Before and after story. :)
Until then any advice is welcome ;) thx :)
